Xbox One refuses to connect to Xbox Live

Everything was working until today, when I turned on my console and was suddenly unable to connect to Xbox Live.

Upon testing the Multiplayer connection, I am told I have a packet loss rate of 90%, which is a high packet loss ratio for the ISS, let alone a console sitting NEXT to a router it is connected to with a wired ethernet connection.

To save time on the forums, I tested this with both wired and wireless connections, achieving an almost identical loss rate, which I have all but ruled out as the actual cause as I have tested the packet loss on my computer (also next to the router) and
that has a packet loss on both wired and wireless of 5%

I would have added some screenshots below, but due to errors in uploading, I am apparently unable to do so.

Xbox Live Refuses to Connect

I bought an xbox 360 for kid to play. I would like to be able to update the 360 and use it for netflix for his room. I've tried everything with the help forums, tried factory restore, connected to the internet at friends house that plays xbox one, and tried
it with an ethernet cable. It connects to the internet but not live. I have no idea what else to do. Any help would be great.

Having same problem right now. Also my tv is wired into same router and it can connect to Netflix fine.

Its fixed now thankyou, now I have the new problem that only one account on the xbox refuses to connect to xbox live. So i deleted it and tried to redownload and it cancels out everytime with this code 80150016.

Hello! I definitely can understand this would be a frustrating experience, but I can help.

In order to get you back to gaming as soon as possible, could you try running a direct connection via ethernet between your console and your modem? This would bypass
the firewall that is blocking the update, and would only be temporary. Once the update downloads and installs, then you can revert your network back to it's original configuration. Let me know if this helps!

Hello gamer friend,

besides the fact that you should update your billing information there are two possible solutions to the issue you are experiencing both dealing with corrupt data remaining in your system:

First clear your system cache:

1. Press the Guide button on your controller.

2. Go to settings and select System Settings.

3. Select Storage or Memory.

4. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)

5. Select Clear System Cache.

6. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes

If this solution doesn't works clear your Marketplace system cache from the temporary files and impeding updates:

1. Go to Settings, and then select System.

2. Select Storage, and then select your primary storage device.

3. Select System Items.

4. Select Marketplace System Data.

5. Select Delete.

6. Restart your console
