Xbox One record your friends voices

On the 360 you can record your friends voices and get their awesome reactions , however on the Xbox One this is not possible. The only way of this of happening is by unplugging your mic and thats no fun. It will be nice for all these people with " Elgatos
" and other popular recording devices , if they can get their friends voices just like the 360

    :)

should messaging someone ingame with headset not default to voice message?

From the below it appears that the default is text and if you want to send voice you have to select the microphone.

    Send messages to friends

To send messages to one of your friends through Xbox One:

    Sign in to Xbox Live.

On your Xbox One Wireless Controller, press the Xbox button.

Go to the Friends hub and select Friends online.

Highlight the friend's gamertag, and then press the A button on your controller.

Select Send and then select Message to send a text message, or select the microphone icon to send a voice message.

    Enter or record your message.

    When finished, select Send.

  3. Party Chat

    Hey guys,

I have a problem. I want to record some videos with my hdpvr2. On my 360, when i wanted to record my friends too, I changed the option for the party chat. That the voices of my friends are played on my headset and on my TV, so that my hdpvr could record
the voice of my friends. My problem know is, on the xbox one is no option for that, or i have not found it yet. If you know how I can change this please answer. Thanks Xbox One record your friends voices :DD

  5. I'm sorry, but I don't think this should happen. EVER. People being recorded without their consent breaches privacy and I'm pretty sure that's a slippery slope that MS isn't willing to cross. Anyone willingly doing this to another without their consent is
    an unscrupulous individual without morals.

I have a hauppauge HD PVR2. Its awesome capture gameplay in 1080p and the chatter and game music with no time limit how long or short. I got my PVR Jan 2014 and im a youtuber.

Hey geek people do do this its on youtube. It kind of in a way is a bit morally wrong but this behaviour does not breach any privacy law. Where as pointing a camera and filming in private homes is.

Xbox One record your friends voices

When I had an elgato on 360 I liked being able to have the party chat heard on the stream or video. I'd like to see this happen on the X1 Twitch streaming.

  10. Personally, I would prefer a way to separate the chat and sound from the audio and have ways to edit it in and out if needed. This way, you simply do 1 recording, but can then separate the video from the audio channels at different times for editing purposes
(or have no chat/sound at all, if that's what you wanted). Granted, as cool as this would be, this would almost be worse then what I've mentioned above as you can "augment" what people say to make it sound worse, kind of like with the censhorship jokes you
see on Late Night TV that makes everyone sound like they're cursing when they're really not. Xbox One record your friends voices :p

Privacy is a touchy issue, because it is, technically, a public service.

If you live in the US I wouldn't be taping anyone in party chat without their knowledge. It's illegal to tape a conversation that's not in public without a persons knowledge. That's why taped phone conversations have that annoying beep even on 911.

Game chat where you join a public server may be a gray area but if GG invites me to a party there is an expectation of privacy and either of us taping the conversation would be illegal no different than a phone call.

I don't live in the US XD. OP I suggest you get a PVR. They may range around $100 - $200, but it's worth it. I've had some friends involved in my videos. Sometimes they forget I'm recording and talk about random stuff but they don't mind when the video is
still going. If you're doing videos, I think it's fine to record in playing multiplayer without telling others, but it would be polite to warn them. And I don't think this breaks in Privacy Law since you're in a PUBLIC Xbox Live open game lobby. It is perfectly
legal to use PVR's. It's a fun hobby. Just be aware some games have music owned by strict owners, just say you give credit to the music owners and game devs for the cutscenes. Some of my Halo MCC and Ori and the Blind Forest had music and got copyright notices
(not bans) yet the owners allow it (no block or mute) because I verbally said I give credit to the owners. Forza Horizon 2 is really strict with the music so when I record, I mute the music. I never have problems with Minecraft music. I guess Microsoft doesn't
want to upset us because Minecraft is big on Youtube.

If everyone in your party agrees to it than it's not really a problem. It would just be nice to have the option. Rather than a livestream be a one sided conversation.

Hi Randver. There are those of us who may act kind of immature on Xbox Live and start recording random stuff. Just look on Youtube alone and see how many people do that. I don't really do it but I sometimes record videos of my gameplay which have people
not on my friends list, talking in it. You got to have some fun, there are also trolling videos aka people who are outright... you know. If it were illegal, Youtube and Google would have taken them down and penalized those accounts, but they haven't. But it's
still good to show at least some consideration.

The DVR or whatever feature Xbox 1 has is kind of limited. Most of the clips I've watched have no game music, no talking, and are like only 15-60 seconds long. But a good thing about them is you can do face cam using your Kinect I think, and it displays
    it really well.

My Hauppauge works with both my Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 console and it will record any chatter too including game music and footage up to 1080p resolution. It uses HDMI in and HDMI out connection, one is for connecting the PVR to the TV, the other to the console.
Just don't use it record movies as that, is illegal. I inadvertently left my Hauppauge plugged in while I launched the Neftflix app on my Xbox 1, and the Dashboard message allowed me to open the app (but it doesn't allow me to open the blu-ray app if I have
my Hauppauge connected). I know you can't use the Hauppauge HD PVR2 HDMI cables for PS3 you have to use the component cables for connecting the console to the PVR because Sony encrypts that kind of stuff.

If you want to make and share videos, that's fine. Just don't do the other stuff (I'm sure I don't have to mention what) that may get you in trouble. Sharing Xbox gameplays is highly common, and inevitably, it's going to have chatter from friends and anyone
else, because games are multiplayer capable not just solo. "Xbox Live (trademarked as Xbox LIVE[4]) is an online multiplayer gaming and digital media delivery service created and operated by Microsoft." - Wikipedia. If you don't want to share private conversations,
make the party invite only and restrict party members to those who closely know you. Otherwise, anything else you do on Xbox Live like game chat and non-invite-only parties and multiplayer matches, you are going to be interacting with others around the world.

I still agree if you're talking about sensitive or private stuff or something, that's when you need to ask permission, it's called manners something which your parents should have taught you. I do not do live streams as I'm not that professional. I like
to record, check if I want anything edited out and if I want to share it or delete it, and then I upload it. Having a PVR can be enjoyable. It's better than having videos where you point a camera at your TV, or gameplay which is really short, has no game music,
    and has no chatter.
