    Xbox One reboots when establishing wireless connection


    I recently purchased a Xbox One and have run into an odd issue. When attempting to connect to our wireless router the Xbox One console reboots. Connecting via Ethernet works as expected. I assumed originally this was due to a hardware issue so I returned
    the console and got a replacement. The same issue was encountered. I have a ASUS
    RT-AC68P and have attempted to connect to the 2.4G and 5G wireless networks. Any ideas on what would cause this?

    Bluetooth headset setup help needed!

    ^ Have you tried this? You should be able to connect any wireless headset that has bluetooth capabilities without too much hassle.

    Help with XBO DVR

    are you wired or wireless? try deleting the wireless info and re-establishing it. I had this same problem and it turned out my router needed a reboot. I unplugged EVERYTHING and plugged them back in and was good to go.

    Fyi, I worked with Microsoft support and was not able to ever make it work with the asus router. Eventually I set up an old router I had which worked as desired.

    xbox one does have wireless problems with certain routers for some reason , not sure why...either way , cat 5 cable is dirt cheap , I ran it all over my house , (DO NOT like wireless for consoles) it would be WELL worth it imo to run a cable to it ...

    Hi,

    What is the make and model of your modem?

    What version of firmware is your router currently running?

    Make sure you have disabled WPS (Wi-Fi protected Setup). WPS is an alternate feature to secure WLANs, and to make this process less overhead for a customer.

    xbox one does have wireless problems with certain routers for some reason , not sure why...either way , cat 5 cable is dirt cheap , I ran it all over my house , (DO NOT like wireless for consoles) it would be WELL worth it imo to run a cable to it ...
