XBOX ONE reboot every day.

So just about everyday I have to hard cycle my Xbox one. I can immediately tell when my Kinect does not recognize me right away, then I have to do it manually. The game I play mostly is Destiny, and once I finish the reboot Destiny always does an update.
Not sure exactly where the problem lies down to. When I do sign in manually the XBOX is very unresponsive. any suggestions?

Hard Reboot Required Every Day

I had same exact issue and have found a fix. Please try this and if it works for others reply here so the ambassadors can sticky and or notify tech support.

First. Have access to the back of you console

Second. Turn off console via hard reset.

Third. Once back on turn off console normal way, push button on front of console.

This will cause Xbox logo to blink a few times before turning off completely.

Forth, while off if you look at your power brick you will see a light that is white.

Fifth, push and hold the Xbox bottom on front of console till the white light on the brink blinks orange.

This rests brick, and doesn't turn on console.

Sixth, unplug the power cable from back of console AND kinect cable.

Seventh, Waite 30 secs, reconnect all turn on system and enjoy playing again.

The problem is Instant On is broken, has been since the November update and Microsoft continue to ignore all the many threads on here, full of people with the same issue. To the best of my knowledge, they've not even officially acknowledged there is a problem,
let alone fixed it.

The only solution is to switch to Power Saving mode and lose the benefits of Instant On and hope that one day, MS might decide to fix whatever it was they broke.

 

Thanks for the information, I thought it was something on my end. I will definitely switch to power savings mode and see if that makes the difference.

 

You can also try closing apps when you are done with them. I have seen a decrease in issues when I started doing that. From your home screen, press the menu button with the app/game highlighted and choose Exit.

 

You are correct about closing apps, that does help to.

 

I can confirm it's utterly broken from quite some time now.

Thankfully they are getting destroyed in the sales department.

The amount of issues I've had with this OS is insufferable.

I can't believe they're letting it rot so much.

Get a grip MS, fix your *** ***.

 

Tried a factory reset. I'll see how it fares.

 

Factory reset made no difference to me. Now approaching two weeks without a hard reset, so looking like they may have finally fixed it.

 

Same here! This is getting very Anoyinng. ..every morning I turn on my X1 and there it goes again updating for the next 20 to 30 minutes. Some one has to fix this ASAP Please. This has been going on for the past two months.
