Xbox One re-downloaded games won't play

    Xbox One re-downloaded games won't play


    I bought Metal Gear: PP and Dying Light almost a year ago and have played them since. I now re downloaded them and when I click "Play" it goes to the cover art and quits with no error message or anything. I have tried to quit out of the game, hard restarts,
    turning the console off and on and tried to play it though the store. I am getting frustrated about this and I've googled it multiple times. Anyone have the same kind of problem?

    Cant play unless connected to Live

    Did your Xbox fail at one point, get a new one, and forget to transfer content licenses? It could also be the same concept as downloading the game from disk to the HDD. It needs the physical copy (or original source) to be able to play. Most of the arcad
    games I downloaded and re-downloaded still won't work unless I'm connected to live.

    Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the game yet? Is the game installed to the internal hard drive or to an external hard drive?

    I'm sure you won't have to re-buy them again. I'm sure they do the same thing for Xbox One that they dod for the 360 where you can just go into your download history and re-download the games again.
