Xbox One Randomly Disconnects from Xbox Live

My new Xbox One is randomly disconnecting from Live for 10 seconds at a time whilst I am playing online matches (on FIFA 15 and GTA V). I am using a Virgin Media SuperHub 2 on latest firmware (5 GHz). No other device on network has problem, including my
old xbox 360 which was in the exact same place as my xbox one is now. There is only a floor between the router & xbox one, the xbox is between a wall and TV & the router is beside a wall & next to TV.

The xbox's NAT type is open, the DL speed is 50Mbps, the UL speed is 3Mbps, 0% Packet loss, 1480 MTU, latency is 167ms & wireless strength is 79%.

I live in Central Belt of Scotland (if that could affect the latency). I have several friends who live in the same area who are unaffected.

I have tried several fixes including changing wireless channel to minimise interference& changing to static IP address and manually opening ports yet my problem still persists.

Does anyone know what I could do to fix this?

I got it fixed! In case anyone else is having the same problem, I did a "hard restart" on the xbox one. You hold the on/off button in for 10 seconds and then switch it back on. It will take slightly longer to turn back on but after that it should be fixed.

 

I'm glad you got this resolved! Also, it's a good idea to ensure you are not using a powerstrip or extension cord with your console. The console should be plugged directly into the wall as the power brick contains it's own surge protector and fan.

 

i have the exact same issue but this solution did not work for me i've played around with router settings the lot everything i have is identical to you including the game issue, its been fine for over a month then one day it just started disconnecting

 

@squeak2080, you should create another thread and add some more details to the problem that you are having. I too am having connection issues that started about a week ago but chances are that there are different causes to our problems. Having your own thread
makes it easier for the Xbox Support people to help you.
