Sometimes when I turn my xbox one on, the xbox displays at 640x480p rather than normal 1080p. It does not happen often and is easily fixed by restarting the console but something like this should not even happen. I've never had this problem once on my 360
and they both share the same television.

    :)

Tv screen turns black for 2 seconds every couple of minutes

I am using a four year old Sony KDL-46W5500 TV (at 1080p) with the Xbox One with zero issues.

    .

However, with another Sony TV my son suddenly started having an issue when he playing his 360 the screen would go black for a second or two at random intervals. It turned out that the resolution setting had changed to a non TV supported resolution. Selecting
a supported resolution (1080i on that TV) solved the problem.

  3. Xbox One Issues Resolutions:

If you receive a green screen after update:

    1. Hold the power sensor for 5 seconds to completely power off the console.
    2. Pull the Power Supply Unit from both the console and electrical outlet for about 30 seconds.
    3. Reconnect your Power Supply Unit.
    4. Reboot & walk through the process again.
*It is a known bug for a small amount of users, but Microsoft is working to fix this issue.*

Game install lagging, freezing, or appears to be slow:

    1. Eject disc.
    2. Disconnect Ethernet/Wi-Fi.
    3. Clear System Cache by holding power button sensor for 5 seconds for full shutdown.
    4. Reboot.
    5. Reinsert Game.
    6. Leave internet connection off for download.
    7. Install once again!
    And get ready to game.

    Update stuck at 80%!?

If your Xbox One update stops at 80% Power Cycle Console will save progress & continue.

    Error 126/E101

The console appears to have been banned, so contact support so they can get the issue fixed with their support team.

    Blank Tiles:

Hardwiring your modem may solve this issue, but it is an issue due to your internet connection & bandwidth.

    Error E100 after system update:

If your Xbox One console loops from green screen to hardware issue then a replacement is needed.

    Contact Xbox Support at 1-800-4MYXBOX.

*All repairs will be replaced with a Day One Edition.*

    Xbox One Launch Day, hoorah.

Well, hello, Pr0viNG4Gr0uNDz! I'm sorry to see that this happens occasionally! What an odd situation that you're running into here. I believe I have a solution, though.

    Checking out our
    Display Troubleshooter
here, there are steps that help you set your display settings from Auto to 1080p. Let's go ahead and try that out if you haven't already, and see if that solves this sporadic issue from cropping up again. If you've already got it
set to that, try setting it to auto to see if that may resolve this.

If the troubleshooter I linked to above doesn't help you out, I suggest you
    Reset To Factory Default Settings
on your console. If the combination of the troubleshooter and the factory reset doesn't solve this really weird display issue, then my last suggestion is to get your console set up for a repair through our
    Online Service Center.

After a repair, if you're still running into issues, please do post back! Even post back if you get it resolved so that other users can see what got you all sorted out. :3
