1. Xbox one random green pixels and only display on HDMI 1

I was out for 3 weeks and as I returned I noticed my xbox one was not displaying on my LG TV. Since the first time I hooked it up (2 months ago when I bought it) I connected it on HDMI 2, not having any issues at all but now nothing is showing up. I moved
it to HDMI 3, same results, but then I hooked it up on HDMI 1 and I can actually see the image. The sound is good on TV but now it hears a little cut out through an external speaker plus now I see some random green pixels on the screen. I switched the HDMI
cable with the xbox 360 and got the same results. I'm able to display the xbox 360 with the xbox one HDMI cable on all 3 HDMI channels. It just seems really weird that I can now just display my xbox one on HDMI 1 with some random green pixels on the screen.
Seems to be an HDMI output problem from the console but I'm not quite sure, has anybody seen or suffered something similar?

Thanks in advance.

:)

2. Flashing Green Pixels

I turned on my Xbox today and there were green pixels flashing and moving around the screen (looked like green static). I unplugged my HDMI cable from my TV and then plugged it back in and they were gone. Am I heading for an E74 error? I only have 1 month
left of my 3 year warranty.

Xbox one random green pixels and only display on HDMI 1

If a different hdmi didn't work try a different tv. Did you by any chance put the hdmi into the one at an angle? Try putting very very light pressure in different angles on the hdmi left, right, up, down, and towards the x1. See if that does anything. I
had a similar issue with my cable box because my cat pulled down on the hdmi cord and occasionally it would stop working and wiggling it around would fix it. Look into the hdmi port on the one make sure no dust/dirt is in there. Lastly make sure it's plugged
into hdmi out and not hdmi in.

720p or 1080p or 1080i
1080p will display 1080 pixels at once time

720p will display 720 pixels at one time

1080i ONLY DISPLAYS 540 pixels at one time

1080p is Best, 720p SHOULD look better than 1080i and 1080i is worst...
You've actually got your 1080i and 1080p backwards as far as the pixels at a time. 1080i displays full frames at ~30 fps. 1080p displays 1/2 frames, where each frame's pixels are either even or odd and they alternate, at ~60 fps. 1080p is the best, hands
down. But it is the one that only displays 540 px at once.

Tv Or Xbox?

Hello,

Can you change the TV to an AV channel without the Xbox on, something with a 1 color background like blue or black should work. I only ask this because if you are seeing green pixels showing up on the TV screen, it is usually the result of a dead pixel on
the TV. I would ask are the pixels always in the same spot on the TV when you see them.. as Dead pixels don't move around. If there was something wrong with the Xbox display it would commonly affect the whole TV screen and not just a pixel or 2. If you think
its the Xbox, try playing around with the setting for HDMI, like change between 720p and 1080p as well as screen size and see if that has any change.

If it is indeed seen on the TV when your on the AV screen's or a 1 color screen if you can make it show up like that.. (turn on your DVD/BR player to its default screen which are normally 1 color and you might be able to see if the pixels are there too. Being
that its new you should be able to exchange the TV for a new one and tell them you see dead pixels as the reason for the return.

The reason I think it is a dead pixel is because a friend of mine bought a new TV and when I helped him set it up in his basement, we were presented with Green and Pink pixels in about 4 spots on the screen, which were really obvious, so we returned it.

Anyways, let me know what the result is. :)

You put in a screen size calibration page but didn't put in anyway to move it.

On my Sony TV the "Display Area" needed setting to "AUTO" to get the green lines on the edge of the screen

The manual setting to achieve the same result is "Display Area - "FULL PIXEL", this is the setting I use for Blu-Ray and Xbox One.
