    Xbox one Random disc eject and dinging


    Let me just start off by saying yes I have read the post about the same problem at http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4269/t/1638607.aspx?pi7962=3 the reason I am posting this is because they locked it with out posting a solution
    I don't know if they just assumed that they found a solution or if this issue no longer happens. Here is my problem my xbox will randomly eject my disc or make the ejecting sound it will even do so when the system is turned off. Has any one had this issue
    and fixed it?

    I have the same problem. No easy solution found. All I can find is the eject sensor is the culprit and it has to be sent off for repair.

    Xbox One randomly ejects disk or turns on.

    basically my day one xbox did this. only randomly in the middle of the night. So i sent it back to microsoft.

    about 2 months later the new xbox woke me up in the middle of the night.

    literally "ding ding ding ding ding ding ding" ejecting and taking the disc back in.

    over and over and over and over again. Sending this one back as well.

    About to say *** it and buy a ps4

    Hi, thanks for your answers.

    I am sitting here writing this and my xbox is literally having a fit.

    I have recorded a bit on camera.

    Atm it is on at the plug, off (no lights) but it is randomly "dinging" but not turning on, in the last 30 mins it has dinged and then come on and eject the disk , then ding merrily away, perhaps with an occasional eject etc.

    Ive turned it off, but it keeps turning itself on. Only way is to switch it off at the plug.

    Im not sure how it could be a sticky switch as the eject button it isnt mechanical, its one of those super sensitive things that a fly fart will activate (perhaps thats what is happening!).

    I'd like to think it would be a neighbour with a universal remote, but I think that would be unlikely (not impossible - just unlikely) as how many people own these remotes? They are for the HDDVD addon? They arent exactly bundled with each unit.

    Then you have the manner & speed of the dinging and the ejecting. If it were a neighbour, I cannot understand who would ding ding ding eject, ding eject ding, eject, eject, ding ding! in a matter of seconds, then eject and ding away in a few minutes.

    Unless they have adhd, watch a lot of porn and only take 1minute to "get bored".

    So, I am starting to think it is faulty. I do have one neighbour that has an xbox, but he hasnt had any problems and this has happened when they are out for the day.

    I will try taking the faceplate off perhaps as suggested and see if it continues, but I think it may have to go back

    When I first bought my xbox360 slim in 2010 it did the same thing. I hooked it up and put in a game then all of a sudden it started to ding. Ding.ding.ding.ding eject and close with the ding. And shut off and on. I took it back and got a new one. Well four
    years later my new one that i got started to turn off and on with the ding sound. All on random. Is this a power issue?

    I'm waiting for what Microsoft comes up with

    Can I send it in for repair or cut my losses and buy a new one
