Questions about Xbox 360 E Video Output

Since the E model does not support Component video or VGA video out of the video port (i.e. no cables made for it like the original and S models), you would need to get a HDMI converter. I use one that is HDMI to VGA on my Xbox One to my projector. If your
TV does not have HDMI, then it would need component or VGA inputs in order to receive a HD signal. If you TV does not have those inputs, then you will need to upgrade your TV.

Also I should point out that the included video RCA cable included with the console is a composite cable, not component. Component cables are analog HD cables with the signal split into red, green and blue with each lead colored appropriately. What you
referred to as component is in fact a composite cable.

  3. Questions about Xbox 360 E Video Output

Hello there. My television doesn't use HDMI and my Xbox 360 E sucks without HD. Since there is bad response time and grainy images and a ton of ghosting, I'm wondering if there are any good alternatives.

I can't really find anything on the web, so if anything I'm just looking for something to make the image quality better on the console. I know the standard component cable only outputs in 480i, so is there anything that allows it to go up to 480p/720p? I
own one of those HDTVs that don't use HDMI as I've said before and using my 360 on it is just sucky.

Also, this is not another question about response time, so I don't mean to look like I'm double posting again. Thanks in advance!

The only way to view your Xbox One at 4K UHD: Is to connect Xbox One HDMI Output to an A/V Home Theatre Receiver capable of upscaling 1080p output via HDMI to 4K UHD for UHD television.

Note: You will potentially see visual artefacts and/or image tearing by upscaling 1080p to 4K UHD.

Questions about Xbox 360 E Video Output

    Hi hylianhero72,

Unfortunately you cannot convert any analog or standard definition (RCA) connections to HDMI in respects to upgrades in the quality of the image. If you would like a HD output, you would need to have a HDMI ready TV with a HDMI connection to your Xbox 360.

Thanks for posting on our forums! If you have anymore issues please don't hesitate to contact us again :) Happy Gaming!

Xbox One S Blu-ray upscale removed?

I wouldn't know about it being "removed", but I've seen a few threads about people questioning about how the Xbox One S has never done this in the first place, ever since the launch of the Xbox One S.

Regular Blu-Rays are natively 1080p, and people have been reporting that the video output of the Xbox One S simply switches to 1080p, rather than staying 4K and upscaling. However, your 4K TV hardware already upscales video output to take up the whole 4K
screen anyway, so I wouldn't imagine there being much difference. Please note that upscaling 1080p to 4K doesn't "enhance" the picture definition, it's just stretching the image.
