Regarding the DRM of the Xbox One, it is not "always on" and as long as you're playing on your home console, you can play any game that does not require an internet connection to play that you downloaded or you can use the disc on any system.

 

This latest service issue is why it is completely moronic to have the "always connected" requirement for Xbox One ... if core services are down I can't play any game, even though I store everything locally and buy only discs (no digital downloads).

Stupid Microsoft, just plain stupid. Going to go hook up my PS4 now.

 

During this service issue, you will be intemittently signed in-and-out of online services.

It might be best to wait until the issue is resolved, so that you can enjoy a worry-free game!

while your twin is perfect. That must be a disappointing feeling. Is it?

You can try to sign in right now as I was able to sign in after 3 attempts, but it may not let you due to this being an Xbox Live problem. Regarding compensation, no company is going to offer compensation for a short outage of their online services.

I'm sorry to hear you feel that way about Xbox.

Xbox always aims for 100% stability and uptime, however, all servers will have their problems.

I know myself that PSN also has issues, and generally, they aren't as quick to fix them.

Yes, PlayStation does have connection issues also, but does it happen daily? In my personal experience, daily issues seem to be more of an Xbox thing. Don't reply to me again, until you folks think you fixed issue.

 

So, I was playing on my Xbox, going to get one of the free with gold games. I clicked on the buy button and the screen suddenly went a bit darker with the Xbox icon in the top right still. I could see everything in the background, it was just darker. I tried
again on buying it but the same happened so I decide to turn off the Xbox. After getting back onto it, I did the same with signing in, however, this time, when I tried to sign in. The screen got a bit darker, I've kept trying but it won't work. Please help?

Xbox...... I do enjoy playing you and the games you provide, but you are turning into more of a hassle then you are fun. Prior to my Xbox One I had a PS III. On my PLAYSTATION, I was able to play all day, any day, and any time without problems. Maybe once
or twice a week I would spend 5 minutes messing with my internet, but could play games for days without problems. I assumed this is how my Xbox would function, but assumptions can be woefully wrong. Since I've had my system, it's been a daily issue with logging
on and staying connected. I generally spend an hour or two a day waiting for my Xbox to begin to function, marginally at best generally, which strips me of what I cherish most, and that's my freedom to play my games when I f-ing choose too. Your a disappointment
Xbox, and they I'm seriously thinking about moving back to PLAYSTATION. This is a joke, get your stuff together, and your connection issues fixed. Oh, and tell those imbeciles at bungie to get destiny working right, none of my PLAYSTATION friends are having
any problems with destiny

 

Doesn't happen daily for me. And I never have trouble connecting to others or with Destiny period. Maybe call Microsoft and talk to them about it instead of posting here? And by the way my sousin couldn't play online on his Playstation 4 for at least 2 months
last year when he bought his due to the PSN being down. Just glad Xbox live has never gone down for more than at the most 3 days. And they give us continual updates and service alerts like the one we have today for connecting to Xbox Live.
