xbox one problems (since preview update)

I registered to be part of the preview updates. Since the last preview update happened (march/april?), my xbox has gone extremely buggy. To start, when switching on the xbox my account wont sign in. It just states it is unavailable at this time. After multiple
retries (sometimes as many as 10+), it loads. Once signed in, i sometimes have loading circles as if there is a network problem, but my network is fine elsewhere. I also have problems accessing tiles off the dashboard, including friends, parties and achievements. I
also have tried resetting by holding the button, taking the plug out and also resetting back to factory setting mutliple times, and with no success

This is unacceptable. I understand the updates are expected to be buggy, so I have since opted out of the preview updates. .That being said, i have a few questions.

1) if i was in the preview, will i recieve the recent april update? or as i was part of the preview, did i already have it?

2) is there anyway to remove updates so i can install current updates and remove the buggy one

Preview Program - May Update Issues

since the last update I have problems with Xbox Dashboard preview when I start it an error message that I invited myself ? ! ? !

You don't want it. I have it and it's junk. The programmers have lost their minds. 2 years now and the updates get worse and worse. My Xbox one has had more problems since this latest preview update then ever before.

To answer your questions:

1. Just prior to general availability you should have received build 1830 (O/S version should show something along the lines of (xb_rel_1404.140411-1830). That is the final release that went to general availability so as long as you are reflecting that version
   you are up to date.
2. No there is no means of removing prior updates but you should be on the same version as the rest of the community.
   

This sounds like connection issues to xbox live/the cloud more than anything else even if the other items on your network are fine. I can't say I experienced any of these issues during the preview or once I received the GA release which leads me to think
it could be environmental (network cable, that sorta thing) but tough to say otherwise.

 

i agree it seems that way, but my nat is open, and i connect fine to the internet when its working. it seems to me as if its an xbox problem. is there anyway to view which O/S version i am currently running?

 

That's a tough one. Sometimes after a system update or if my router reboots/updates, I need to powerfail like you have to recover my NAT settings but if yours is Open I'm drawing a blank. Have you tried rebooting the router to be sure it's not holding
onto an incorrect DHCP or routing entry by chance? Just a thought.

And yes there is. If you go under Settings -> System -> Console Info and it should be listed there under the Operating System Version. Should reflect what I provided above, may be a post-fix depending on region, but the release/build should be the same.
