Xbox One problem with updating and installing.

So I've been having this problem since June (I'm EXTREMELY patient) and I have done many things to no avail to deal with it including Port-forwarding (Port 80 is the only one I can't make work I would like to know how important it is if I can) but so far
I may have narrowed down the problem I think it is with the Xbox Store since I also can't install any games or apps from there (I sent my Xbox One to my sisters house and it updated fine there she has the same ISP as I do but likely a different plan) I was
playing Destiny and Warframe about 2-3 weeks ago freshly updated then Destiny had a weekly in-game update which worked fine but it later had a bigger update (the one that changed a few sprites for the inventory) and it was one of those updates that brings
you to a screen like this one http://cdn.medialib.totalxbox.com/screens/dir_384/image_38486_620.jpg (I think this screen is for a system update since I don't
get the option to turn my Xbox off) which I have been assuming is an update that uses the Xbox Store, I have contacted my ISP (Telus) in the past and they sent me to contact Microsoft then I got sent back to my ISP and now I'm here again at this point I request
that someone at Microsoft contacts someone at Telus and maybe work together to solve this problem and if I can be of any help what so ever you can just tell me on a reply to this I will be watching it daily for a long time in hopes I get some way to fix it.
(My Xbox 360 and everything else in my house seems to work fine I also seem to be stuck with a strict Nat type that may be because of Port 80 all others that are required for Xbox One/360 are forwarded)

My games are not updating!!!!!

Hi, My games are installing and my xbox one just updated but the games are not updating!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!

 

installing is so screwed up!

Microsoft has very predictible and stable downloading and installs for the 360. Phil Spencer said Xbox One install problems are one of his highest priority issues to fix on the Xbox One. Question: with all of the software and hardware experience Microsoft has, how could they launch the One with install issues this severe and why hasn't it been fixed in an update.? Were almost a year in and people are still having problems with game installation.

 

Can I get any sort of help? Maybe a "We will look into it" atleast, I typically see people get help in a few hours if that just something to give me some kind of hope please.

Sorry to hear about the issue and apologies for the delay! Are you still having issues with the update? If so, please follow each of the troubleshooting steps on our

Xbox One Update support page and post back if that helps. If that doesn't help, be sure to post the brand of your router and modem along with their model numbers so we can narrow down the issue!

I am still having issues with the update and the troubleshooting link you gave me didn't help (my console is up to date) but the modem is Huawei B890 4G LTE Smart Hub.

Can you try connecting the Xbox One to a non cellular network? Try that and post back to let us know if it works out! The Xbox consoles are not designed for this type of connection, as they can be quite demanding, and the device you are using is designed
to get an internet connection through cellular.

Try the Xbox One console on a non cellular network and let us know if the issue persists!

 

Well it works fine on a different internet (at my sisters home) but I'd much rather not change my own internet plan, so unless there is a way to make it work with my internet my Xbox One is officially useless.

I just don't understand why everything worked just fine before June and everything still works fine except installing and updating games, system updates for the Xbox One download just fine though.

 

As I mentioned in the previous post, we cannot guarantee stable connectivity on a cellular network as the Xbox One consoles are more demanding. System updates for the Xbox One come in much smaller packets than full game downloads do, which would be a difference
between under 100 MB vs several gigs of game data.

I strongly recommend having a network that can handle those bigger downloads.

 

I am having the same problem with a NHL 15 update. Everything worked fine before on 360 and I have the same smart hub you do Huawei B890 4g LTE Smart hub. Does this mean I'm returning my xbox one tomorrow?

 

Same problem here, with the same hub. I bought the Destiny Expansion pass yesterday on my PC and my Xbox One is not able to download it. Its stuck in the queue and the download fails. I am not able to switch ISP's as Telus is the only one in my area.

 

Were either of you able to download anything at any point in time?

 

I have the same Telus B890-66 and am unable to update Dragon Age Inquisition on the xbox one. I have a stable connection at about 15Mbps and unlimited data.

Please explain in detail what "quite demanding" means. Do I need to port forward? What is xbox one doing that xbox 360 doesn't? The xbox 360 updates without a problem on our Telus B890-66.

 

I have the same issues on about 5 games at the moment. Halo, Dragon Age, Far Cry 4, Assassins Creed Unity and Shadow of Mordor. It is quite irritating as they are all the games I need to finish and have started and can't play. I'm with Eircom (from Ireland)
and never had any update issues before. These are all physical games and I also use an external hard drive so I have plenty of space to install on. Anything you can do to help? I've tried lots of things but nothing works! Very disappointed.

Sorry to hear about the similar issues! Since this thread is older, please post new threads detailing the issue along with troubleshooting steps you have tried. Keep in mind that 3G or 4G LTE connections will normally run into these types of issues.
