Xbox One Price Drop

I own the day one console and I am very angry that I paid $500+ for the console and never received a free game. In less than 5 months, the console is selling for $50-$60 less and comes with one and sometimes even two free games with certain bundles. The
Microsoft store themselves even had this promotion going. I feel cheated.

Do Launch and First Month Xbox One Consoles Deserve a Free Game?

The Xbox One saw a price drop in the UK to 399 GBP, from its launch price of 429 GBP. That's the only price drop to date.

I'm happy with the console. A lot of research into knowing what i was getting for my money. With companies like EA not making a Fifa world cup game for next gen due to lack of console sales, I'd say that the extra sales from the price drop will help everyone
get the most from the system. And the day one people did get a free game

I bought a MSI gaming laptop last month for 2k priced dropped to 1700 bucks 8 days after I bought it. My 60 in plasma TV price has dropped 400 bucks in 6 months.

Welcome to the real world.

 

Wait.... you mean a console was released at full price and then they reduced the price later???? WOW!!! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE

And to think people *** about 60 or 10 USD.

 

The way I see it....I bought them at what I thought was a fair price, I enjoy them and if it cost someone less to enjoy them too....then so be it.

 

Maybe products do drop in price but twice and within in the 1st 6 months ? Sales are poor for the X BOne these days and shops need to do damage limitation.

I think this is going to happen right through 2014, unfortunately it's the price you pay for being early adopters of a untested commercially successful product.

 

I cant believe the amount of people in this community that have no concept of the retail market?

Cell phones, vehicles, furniture, clothing, etc all have price drops.... are there that many sheltered people out there who don't understand this???. A price drop does not indicate the success of a item.

 

price did not drop.. console went on sale.. get the facts correct people...and most of the sales are retail specific... if Bestbuy or Andy's gaming Expo wants to sell an XB1 w/ 4 games for $200 let them.. has nothing to do with the wholesale and MSRP of
a product

 

If the OP is complaining because he bought the Xbox One as a day One console or early on before the console went on sale, then he's just feeling entitled and upset because he didn't take the time to wait. If it's because he got the console AFTER it went
on sale, that just means he didn't do enough looking around before buying in order to find the best deals - either way, the fault lies with him. Sorry buddy, but it's the truth.

 

At least i got 5 more months of pure pleasure and fun,nobody can't steal that.....

Newcomers already lost that,and i didn't loose my money.
