Xbox One Preview update rendering console useless.

I am experiencing am extremely odd issue and I am wondering if there are other users out there in the same boat as me.

I have a Day One console that when updated to the Preview software becomes completely useless - it refuses to connect to a WiFi network saying 'Cannot connect to DHCP server', or a range of other connectivity errors and thats if I'm lucky enough to make
it into network settings without the console freezing, forcing me to reset it.

I was able to plug the console in via LAN cable after much troubleshooting with no luck (restoring factory defaults, trying different networks, different security keys etc) and unsubscribe it from the Preview update. Problem solved, I was able to connect
straight back up to my wireless network that everything else in the house can connect to fine.

I just recently opted back in to Novembers preview update again to give it another try, my console downloaded the update fine and now the exact same issue is happening all over again. I have searched Google and cannot seem to find any user with the
same sort of issue I'm having. I guess what I want to know is, how can a preview update render my wireless connectivity useless if it works fine when not on the preview build? Im not too techy but wouldn't one assume that would mean the hardware in the console
isnt faulty?



I am aware that its called a Preview update for a reason and that I can expect software issues to some degree. However my partner and friend both with Xbox One's on the preview build have no issues. My partners Xbox One is on the same network in the
same house running fine.

I'd love to hear from anyone who knows more or may be experiencing the same issue im having. I think I'm going to have to organise a repair for this one

It wouldn't work even they wanted it to work, The architecture between the two consoles has a massive difference therefore rendering old Xbox games useless on the XboxOne.

 

Will X1 only output HDCP?

From what I've read both new consoles will output like that for games. This is rendering current capture setups useless.

 

If you can get to the settings again, go to network then select advanced settings and select clear mac filter. It's should be the last option. After you choose that option your console will restart refreshing your computer's ip. Hopefully this will resolve
the issue.
