* XBOX ONE Preview UPDATE ***Answer to No Valid party!!!!!

Ok if your like I was a couple days ago, you registered for the
Xbox One Preview beta. Super exciting. Buuuut, after downloading it you realized you could no longer send or accept party invites, nor send or accept game invites. Well I tried it all, abassadors, uninstalling, reseting, clearing cache. No, No, & No.
After speaking with tech support on Microsoft's hotline I FINALLY got an answer. So here you go.

1. You can no longer party up nor game invite with anyone that doesn't have the new update. Its not compatable *bummer

2. You can not convert back to the old version sooo dont try.

3. In about 2-3 weeks everyone will be forced to take the new update & dash. No if ands or buts. We were just "fortunate" to get it early.

4. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. The ONLY & I mean ONLY way for you to start partying up with friends & gaming again is for them to get the update early as well.

5. How you ask. go to forums.xbox.com fill out a request or little note in one of the forms like so just basically saying " I am part of the xbox update preview beta, please add (enter your friends gamer tag) to the list. **MAKE SURE
YOU SPELL THEIR GT RIGHT!!!

6. After this is done a moderator will review your post & in 24 hrs your friend should get the same email & code you did. BOW!!!! lol

Granted none of us knew it would be like this but sometimes a few eggs get broken along the way. Please be sure to pass this info along to other gamers so that everyone gets a lil insight on this major issue. HAPPY GAMING

XBOX ONE UPDATE PREVIEW - NOT ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH FRIENDS, PLEASE HELP!!

"As a result of the changes to the Party App in this initial update, party chat, party matchmaking, and party invites will NOT be compatible between Xbox One consoles that are previewing this update and those that are not. Once this one-week preview of the
update is completed and the update is released to the general public, party features should work normally between all Xbox One players. Non-party multiplayer and chat are not affected by this, meaning you will still be able matchmake, chat, and play with all
Xbox Live players regardless of update status inside of game titles. If you have friends that you use the Party App with that have not been invited to preview Xbox One updates, you can invite them by posting in the Invite a Friend to Preview Xbox One Updates
Forum."

 

This information was contained in the registration app prior to you hitting "Accept." There is no "major issue."

 

Sorry OP but this information was clearly stated on the registration app before you agreed to sign up.

"We were just "fortunate" to get it early." - No, not "fortunate"... You accepted an invitation to be a tester. This inherently includes reporting issues and bugs in order to improve the quality of the software. If you
didn't understand this, it's no-one else's fault.

 

Better yet make sure you opt out of future Beta testing and read the information before agreeing to test out Beta software. Then you won't have to ask friends to test out Beta software if the current version is working for them.

I'd like access to the beta updates too please, My friends have it and since then we can no longer party chat/join each others games and would love to test the 7.1 on my Astro A50's

So im now stuck on this and cant do anything about it? THis is ridiculous. Why wasnt this stated in the message we recieved from xbox.

You do know by being a tester... you must enter that private forum and give them your feelings and ides on how the update is working and areas that are not working and what needs fixing.... that is your JOB and why they have these tests
