Xbox One preview Programme

Right this is abit of a lengthy post so bare with me

I joined the xbox one preview programme and up untill a few weeks ago i have never had a single problem.

I have a 500 gb hard drive in my xbox one so i bought a 1TB external hard drive for extra space because 500gb is simply not enough.

A few weeks ago i had an update and for some random reason my external hard drive stopped being recognized by my xbox so I was back to a standered 500 gb and i lost most of the recent games that iv played. I naturally assumed that my external hard drive
was broke so i tested it on my laptop and it worked perfectly. So my next guess was that my USB ports were broken but i plugged in another hard drive and that worked and was picked up like normal. After some research some other people have had the same problem
so I thought I would wait it out and hopefully someone at xbox would solve this issue and then I could carry on playing my games like normal.

What has changed in the past few days I have noticed that i'm EXTREMELY limited on what i can do on my xbox now. And what has caused me to go over the edge was that i wanted to play a dvd but my xbox refuses to update my blu ray player so not only am i limited
on what i can play im now limited to watching things on demand through apps and can't even watch DVDS no more.

This preview programme is awful and I'm shocked that xbox would actually try and promote this to customers and make customers go through this torture and then not even applogise to them.

I don't want to hear off an xbox official and try to "sort the issue out" i want out of the programme and I want the use of my external hard drive without the risk of formatting my hard drive and losing all of my game saves. I also encourage everybody who
reads this to leave the programme as well as I wouldn't want anybody to go through this headache that xbox has given me

Ok first and foremozt you do relieze this is a preview beta right?

That means there will be bugs

2Nd they didntpromotr it as a consumer release you seem to misunderstand what the preview program is

Firat and foremost it is a beta test meant for testers to test the new os before the public release not the actual public release

If you didnt want bugs whynsign up for it

Next time read what you are getting into

No other console offers preview betas

It is meant for a small group of testers not for someone who wants to expand their gameplaying library before actual release

 

You were warned to back up all your data before the update and after removing the update onto external drive

This is a beta test

Youcannot revert between a new os beta to the previous build (current os without formating) version numbers go forward not backward

As far as promoting goes they did not say the preview program was for the consumers they said that the bc was available to preview program testers people just jumped into it thinking its bug free as they learned with bc updates we still had bugs

 

Bugs dont always showup on preview release they actually had people with different configurations hence why we had quests to do different things

They limited it to a small group to prevent millions of consoles being dead for 1 unreported bug

Thos is included in the terms and conditions you signed in signing up for the preview

 

The nxoe runs fine on my console but may not on yours hence the need to test

You cna also opt out and revert back to bc update only and sit it out
