Xbox one preview program

question,

the day E3 announced friend invites to the program I had someone refer me so I can get an invite. it never came

since then I have had about 6 more people refer me and ive never received an invite. is there anyone who can tell me why. my Tenure on xbox live is at 9 years...some of my friends who have had xbox live for 1 year have got their invites even after a day
or two after the referral. can someone tell me how I get on this program if Microsoft aren't willing to even send me the invite?

I'm a member of the Xbox Preview Program for 360

Is there a place where I could request to be a part of the Xbox One Preview Program ? am I already an Xbox One Preview Program member (if so where can the preview program app be downloaded ?) ?

Hey there Buster2099,

To clarify, are you in the Xbox One Preview program or the Xbox 360 Preview program? To gain access to the Preview Forums for Xbox One, you'd need to be invited and accepted into that program.

 

A friend invite doesn't necessarily mean acceptance, there is a process to it. With that being said currently Microsoft has slowed the acceptance of new people to the Preview Program. There will be opportunities in the future. You can keep up with information

Microsoft has started limiting the number of acceptances as previously mentioned but let me try and explain the process from my personal experience so that you get a sense of what's happening:

1. An invite to the program isn't actually an invitation but a recommendation from your friend
to Microsoft to consider you for selection and admission to the Preview Program; you won't receive anything from your friends. Microsoft uses its own criteria to determine who it will in fact send the link to download the Preview Dashboard
which is the gateway to the Preview -- no one but Microsoft knows the actual criteria.

2. As was the case with me, support will be able to see that you have in fact been invited
BUT you have to wait for Microsoft to send you a system message on your console that provides a link to download the Preview Dashboard.

3. When and IF you get this system message, download the preview dashboard and once installed open it up

4. Once opened, Dashboard will take you through the steps to register your console to participate in the preview.

5. You then wait 48-72 hours for the system preview update to be pushed to your console.
