Xbox One Preview Program Query

I was recently invited to the preview program, on the 20th. I received a message to download the app the next day and proceeded to register for the new experience program instead of the normal. Now that i understand that MS employees and long-time active
members are being accepted in waves into this new program first, I realize i probably wont be accepted for a while. I was wondering if ill still be accepted as a normal preview member or if ill have to wait until i can be accepted as a new experience member?
If i have to wait, is there a way i can cancel the pending registration and, instead, enroll into the normal program?

There is no rhyme or reason to who they pick for the preview program.. I was told this by preview support. As a matter of fact I was accepted into the program by a gamer tag I created just a few weeks ago not the one that has been GOLD for 6 years. So its
not about being special like some people would have you think and there is nothing specific about who they select to get in. You either get in or don't..
