    Xbox One Preview Program Disabled Kinect


    I am having a problem with my Kinect. When I was accepted into the preview program, my Kinect stopped working. It was working just fine before my acceptance and now it doesn't!

    Anyone from the Xbox One Preview Program?

    Hello there fellow Xbox Gamers!

    I am currently looking for someone who is registered in the Xbox One Preview Program to invite me in, as I would like to get back into testing from the Xbox 360 Preview Program. I have previously had experience in testing through the Xbox 360 Preview Program,
    as well as the Kinect Beta Program and the Xbox LIVE Update Preview Program. Although what I didn't realise is that the current Preview Program is new and different from the ones previously on the Xbox 360, as told by customer support.

    So if anyone here is from the Xbox One Preview Program, I would greatly appreciate it if you could get into contact with a moderator/beta represetitive on the Preview Program forums here: http://forums.xbox.com/msgs/default.aspx?MessageID=33 and ask them
    to invite me in.

    Voice Commands will not control TV or Audio Receiver anymore

    DrMmmPie,

    Are you in the Xbox One Preview Program? If so, you're going to want to post about this on the Preview Program Forums and submit feedback on the console so the teams will be able to take a closer look.

    Also are other Kinect commands like "Xbox, Go to Achievements" or "Xbox, Off" working properly?

    Very sorry to hear about the issue. Since you're in the preview program, I would check in over on our
    Preview Program forums so the proper team has visibility.

    In the meantime, try these steps out:

    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console until it fully powers off.
    • Unplug the Kinect sensor and the power from the Xbox One and let sit for 5 minutes.
    • After 5 minutes, plug everything back in and reboot.

    Hey Thundercleetz! Are you able to use the Kinect with your One S using a
    Kinect adapter    ? Additionally, because the original Xbox One is in the Preview program, you may want to enroll your One S in it as well to ensure it has the same updates. Thanks!

    To clarify, are you in the Xbox One Preview program or the Xbox 360 Preview program? To gain access to the Preview Forums for Xbox One, you'd need to be invited and accepted into that program.

    If you're using the Kinect with your Xbox One, Please go ahead and unplug the Kinect (with your console turned off), and try once again to connect your console wireless to the BT Home hub 5.
