    Xbox One powers on but goes black screen.


    I have a Day One edition Xbox One that I am having problems with recently. Whenever I power the console on I get the green "Xbox" logo screen and then it goes black. I have tried unplugging the power source for multiple time for up to an hour, tried holding
    the power button for 10 seconds, and basically everything else I could find from support and nothing works--my screen still goes to black. Has anyone else come across this issue and, if so, how did you rectify it?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do not want to spend hundreds of dollars buying a new Xbox One.

    New xbox wont start.

    I'm having an issue where the xbox powers up. And the "xbox one" screen comes on. But the picture is blurry. Then when the controller should appear on the screen to go through the set up. It doesn't. And the screen just goes black. Any ideas what could be
    wrong?

    Xbox games powers off my console

    So I have a couple downloaded games on my console and when I try to play it the screen goes black and the console powers off. I tried restarting and power cycling but it still doesn't work.

    Hey Burt Baker!

    Sorry you're going through this situation, what is going on with your console is a problem with the update that is installed, there is an error in the system and therefore it is not possible to start the main screen, to fix this you need to make a procedure
    with a USB and a file that is downloaded from this page:

    support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

    The steps are clearly listed, the file you run faster is to "restore to Factory defaults"

    Dont worry, your console needs no repair and no need to buy a new one Xbox One powers on but goes black screen. :D

    It took me a bit to track down a USB drive but, once I did, I applied the "Restore to Factory Defaults" file and it totally worked! I wish I could've saved all my downloaded games but I'm glad I can finally play my XBO again! Thank you! Now it's time to
    start redownloading all my purchases...

    Overwatch

    Mine was working as of 2:30am July 26. As of 3pm July 26 I just get the Tracer/Overwatch spash screen then it goes to black then it goes to the Xbox One home screen.

    Uninstalled

    Reinstalled

    Cleared cache

    Powered off.

    Disconnected power

    Connected Power

    Powered on.

    Same issue.

    Odd that it just stopped working and very annoying.
