Xbox One Powering Off BY ITSELF!!!!!!!

Started with my xbox one s i bought used. Played fine for the first few months until it started randomly shutting off by itself. It always happened when playing big games like 2k and COD. Can never finish a game in 2k without it shutting off and it literally
drives me insane. I have tried literally everything. I moved it to different outlets and even a surge protecter, wired and wireless connections, hard reset, factory reset, checked router settings. I even took apart the damn thing and dusted it out completely
with compressed air.. TWICE. NOTHING worked. I eventually gave up and sold it and bought an original xbox one at a pawn shop and to my surprise, its doing the SAME thing. Am i just unlucky? Could it be a mere coicidence that maybe this one has problems too
or is it genuinely something wrong on MY end? Should I get a new power brick? Im afraid to get a brand new xbox just for it to persist. Should i just give up and quit gaming? I think im going to let a friend hold it for a day and see if it turns off at their
house cause this just very depressing. Could it be a saved feature malfunctioning within my settings? I did use the “saved settings from last xbox” feature when i setup the xbox i just bought. I really need help people.

    :)

  2. Xbox One powering on by itself

I need to turn off the console 3 or 4 times before it keeps really turned off.

I was guessing that another equipment was turning on the console with some type of interference. Even when i take it to another place it keeps powering on by itself.

Even when the controller is off and nothing pluged it keeps turning on.

    What's happening?

    Xb1 powering on by itself

First things first, I do not have a kinect, nor is my xbox on all the time. I use power saver mode so my xbox shuts down completely every time. My only way to turn the xbox on or off is either via controller or the button. I have come home from work to find
it on and woke up in the morning to find it on after sleeping through the night. What is the issue and how do i stop it?

Hey La Taj! I would definitely check out that link our Ambassador referenced but I would also recommend contacting
Xbox Support to talk about repair options. For the original Xbox, it may be a good idea as well to locate a different power unit and give it a shot to see if that is what needs
to be replaced. Also, we highly recommend you plug into a wall outlet and not surge protectors, as that has been known to corrupt the power units.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do.

    Best Regards,

    Diego

No. Controllers are always placed on top of the shelf if not in use as kids play with them and misplaces them.

I will try to see if it is the cable as adviced by others.

    Thanks all.
