XBox one power up problem

My original Xbox one has difficulty powering up every few days, I have to unplug all USB devices including the Kinect sensor, and press the on button a few times. When it does power up I find an update (usually around 3-400Mb waiting to go on, again I
have to leave all USB unplugged or the update wont work. then it works fine for another couple of days. Is this a known issue? the USB devices normally attached are a cooling fan, Seagate Xbox external hard drive and the Kinect sensor.

Hi Guys.

Sorry for the delay, its supposed to email me when someone posted...

I have tried leaving everything unplugged, but again it works fine for a few days, I have also tried plugging it in somewhere else but again same effect.

When it fails the power button makes a very muted noise like it wants to work but nothing until ive tried it a few times.

It seems to be mainly when I get updated through that it fails, and again I'm not sure that's working correctly, ( Should I be getting an update for my Xbox every few days?)

The Box is a couple of years old now, so im also wondering if its just a wear and tear issue, but on the other hand my6 year old Xbox 360 still works fine with no issues at all.

First thing I would test is it powering up on a different outlet, see if it has the same symptoms.

This page here has some other troubleshooting steps, as well. Trying a different outlet or even at a different house or location can help identify if there is an issue with the power wiring in the building, or if this is a more isolated issue with your
power supply. If we identify it as an issue with
the power supply, you might need to go through
the Device Support page for service/replacement of that part.

I would like to suggest trying a factory reset on the console to see if that helps with the issue. There's an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload them and your saves will be safe on the Cloud.

If that doesn't work then it may be that your console is in it's final stages of hardware issues. You could either set up a repair at
https://devicesupport.microsoft.com or look into purchasing a new console. Either way, if you don't have your downloaded games backed up to an external hard drive I would recommend
doing so just in case. You can have up to 3 external USB 3.0 hard drives ranging in size from 256 GB - 16 TB

What lights are on the power brick when you're having problems?

The brick should provide enough power to power the Kinect and hard drives etc without problems. Mine does.

Seems like something is taking to much power from usb and im sure its your cooling fan.leave it unattached to see if its your problem
