    hi was wondering if something is wrong with my xbox one, when i turn it off completely without unplugging it the xbox turns off but the power brick still stays on and doesn't turn off at all the only time it does is if i unplug it and plug it back in. would
    my power brick be broken or something?

    The power supply should always have a light on it.

    Orange light on power supply/no light on Xbox One = Xbox One is off

    White light on power supply/no light on Xbox One = Xbox One is in standby (charge controllers, download updates, etc.)

    White light on power supply/white light on Xbox One = Xbox One is on

    Try disconnecting everything then plug everything back in and try it and also make sure that your console is connected to a wall outlet if disconnecting it won't help you maybe you might have to send in to be checked out.

    @DIEHARD,

    Hi! Depending on if you have your console set to instant on or energy saving mode the power supply lights will be on even if it is off.

    Please refer to this link so you can better understand your PSU lights. Again they will be on :Xbox One Power supply :D - It is normal.

    Hi! I was just wondering if anyone new where I could buy a name brand Microsoft power supply for 100-240 voltage, i had a 100-240 one but it was not microsoft and it died on me so if anyone can help that would be great Xbox One Power supply :)

    making a noise it could be an internal fan that could have something lodged in it or ringing from one of the power supply's capacitors. If this issue persists or gets worse, the power supply may need replacement.
