Xbox One Power Supply VERY noisy!?

As of this morning...fan sounds like its chugging overtime. Called ms - they want $50 for a replace. System still powers on..lights are ok....just really really noisy!

This isn't normal. If your console is still under warranty then your power supply should be under warranty as your power supply warranty is the same as your console warranty. Just go to
http://myservice.xbox.com , register your console if it isn't already, then replace an Accessory, and select power supply. If it wants you to purchase it, click on the "Disagree with warranty status?"
link, then select "Start a Chat", and have
this reference (Solution 8) handy that specifically states your console/power supply warranty are the same. So this should be covered.

xbox one Power supply very noisy

I am sure someone has posted something about this already, but I can't find it. My power supply, I assume it's the fan, is really noisy. I have to turn the volume up to overcompensate for the noise from the power supply. Is this normal? My xbox should
still be under warranty, would this be covered, or do I need purchase a new power supply?

Sorry you're having issues with your power supply. Like MS said with something like that if you cannot blow the power supply out with an air duster and it be silent it's probably a bad fan an needs to be replace. The 50.00 if probably because your Xbox is
not in warranty, and they're going to send you a new Power Supply. I can't say for sure this is what it was, but that sounds like it. Also if it's working ok, it may be fine, and it may be fine for a long time before needing replacement, but if the fan does
go out, the power supply will heat up and just stop working. So it sounds like you have two choices, either A call MS verify the 50.00 was for the power supply, and then pay it and get a new power supply. Or, B. Keep using it, and just keep in mind it's going
to be noisy until it goes out, or you buy another one.

if your on about the original xbox one power supply, it has an internal fan, these overtime start getting noisy.

Hi

The power supply for the Xbox One has a fan in it and it does require positioning to allow proper ventilation. If the power supply is excessively noisy you will need to request a repair/replacement from Microsoft.

The power supply is very well ventilated. It is sitting on top of the TV stand, there are no obstructions to air flow, and the room temperature is between 60-73F

Regarding dust, as I mentioned above, it has been the same noise since day 1; and the whole system is very clean and dust-free.

Now I do not believe it's any louder than any system out there. It's just noisy.
