Xbox One power supply replacement - UK

I thought this would be easy... but can I find an answer anywhere on the Xbox support page?

My Xbox One doesn't switch on. I KNOW it's the power supply that needs replacing. I don't need to reset it. I don't need to send the device for service. I know it's out of warranty.

Simply: can I buy an official Xbox One power supply in the UK, yes or no?

Xbox One import help

I'm currently in Florida on holiday from the UK and looking at buying an Xbox One for $399 here compared to £399 back home! Anyway I'm getting conflicting reports on the power supply for it. Xbox website basically says I shouldn't take it abroad cus of different power supply. Guy in microsoft shop in mall said all I'd need is a simple USA to UK plug adapter and it'll be fine. Online forums are very conflicted, getting 3rd party power supply is a bad choice and Xbox has a power supplier replacement service that sucks. So please help me if you can offer any advice! Thanks

Using UK Xbox One in the USA

Hi

I'm emigrating to the USA from the UK this month. I have 2 x UK Xbox Ones that I wish to take with me.

Can I simply buy 2 x USA replacement Power Supply's or do I have to still but Power convertors?

If it is for the original xbox one then yes you can. Amazon UK has them for sale from many vendors.

I'd advise against getting them from "Amazon UK", as Microsoft never sold power supplies officially. Chances are high, you are getting a "Chinese knockoff" power supply that might or might not work.

Ideally, you'd go to
https://devicesupport.microsoft.com and sign in. If not already done so, register your console. Select that console, and you can then order replacement power supplies there.

If you have trouble with the page, go to
https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/contact-us and click on the Xbox One category. Should a virtual agent show up, click on "No thanks..."

Then under "Xbox & Accessories" click on warranty, service & repair.

Depending on the time of day and times of operation of the support in your country, you should then get a button to "Show Contact Options", where you can then choose to chat with Xbox support or request a callback.

There you can then order a genuine power supply to replace your defective supply.

Hi you may want to try Amazon or Ebay, Even independent video game stores sometimes carry them as well sometimes

Update on this...

I've just chatted to a Microsoft person online who told me that they're currently "out of Microsoft stock" but they're "trying hard to get them back on the Store". In the meantime they say that Argos sell them.

Having spoken to Argos I can, of course, confirm that they DO NOT sell them!

I really can't believe that it's so hard (i.e. impossible) to buy an Xbox One power supply other than a cheap unofficial knock-off that has a fan that makes it sound like it's about to take off or burst in to flames!
