    Xbox One power supply randomly shutting off


    I have recently encountered a problem with my Xbox One power supply

    When I start up my Xbox everything works fine but when I then launch a game the Xbox just randomly loses power.

    I then have to plug out my power supply, but when I plug the power supply out I need to take the plug out of the wall socket and pull the cable that leads into the brick itself out and then plug everything in for it to work.

    So if I only pull the plug out of the wall and plug it back in the brick still won't get any power and neither will the Xbox.

    I know for a fact it is the brick that is the problem because I used my friend's power supply for almost two months and it never happened.

    And this has now happened right after my warranty expired so I cant lay a complaint and let replace my brick

    Hey Sami-memo! If you have an original Xbox One, you may need to get a new power supply pack. If it overheats or shorts out then it can cause your Xbox to shut off randomly.

    I’m not going to say yes definitively, but I had those same problems on my original Xbox One console & bought a new power supply and the thing never shuts off randomly anymore.

    If you have a power supply pack it may have become faulty. This can cause your console to shut off randomly or make it unable to power on.

    You could start with trying out different outlets and power supplies if you have any extra, or know someone that can lend you theirs.

    So that way you can test out a different power supply before committing to buying one.
