    Xbox One power supply problem


    Yesterday i tried to start up my xbox one, it showed the green boot screen for about 3 seconds, and then shut itself down. I tried over and over to turn it on with no luck, so i unplugged the PSU for a minute and plugged it back in, and tried again. To my
    suprise, it started up just fine. I played the whole day with no problems, and then i shut the console down and went to bed. I woke up today to find it having the same problem, so i decided it must be the PSU, because the xbox plays fine for hours once it's
    booted up, and i know it draws more power than usual when booting. So basically i wanted to get some opinions from the community, because i really don't know whats going on

    My Xbox One won't turn on

    Xbox One S with it's internal power supply will solve this problem or maybe the sucker will overheat???

    Xbox One not staying on

    Do you have a Xbox One with external power supply or an Xbox One S or X with internal power supply?

    I say that because in the first case you can try another power supply (ask to a friend if possible) to see if this fix the problem.

    I have the same problem man. I thought the problem was the power supply. But I try the power supply on the xbox one of my friend and it goes on. So the problem is the xbox. Sorry for my english... I'm italian

    Sorry to hear you are encountering these problems with the Xbox One. In this case if the console does continue turning off on you I would advise that you take a look at the following support article to attempt and troubleshoot your Power Supply Unit.


    If this has not resolved the problem then you may simply need a replacement power supply unit.

    This can usually be solves by resetting the surge protection in the power supply. Unplug the console and power supply (if you have an original Xbox one) for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. If that does not fix this problem your power supply (internal
    or external) may need repairs.
