Xbox One Power Supply Issue (No power)

I recently bought an Xbox one in the US and brought it home to Singapore. Unfortunately, I didn't think about the voltage difference, so i plugged it in and fried the whole power supply. I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure its dead (it took out the power
in my apartment). The Xbox One hasn't been released in my country (Singapore) yet.

I tried calling Xbox Singapore Support and I was in the queue for almost an hour now.

Need your advise here.

The power supply should always have a light on it.

Orange light on power supply/no light on Xbox One = Xbox One is off

White light on power supply/no light on Xbox One = Xbox One is in standby (charge controllers, download updates, etc.)

White light on power supply/white light on Xbox One = Xbox One is on

 

Since its a US console and the xbox one it isn't released in Singapore yet you would need to send your psu into the US hardware facility for repair. or you can try ebay for a new one.

 

Thanks for the reply. If I ship it to US for replacement. Is it possible to replace it with 220v instead?

One more thing, I understand that I will cover the shipping cost from Singapore to US but who will cover the shipping charge from US to Singapore?

 

Hi Arnold! I'm not too certain about the shipping procedures to other countries, especially when it's a US console, but most likely if you call the US support number, they will be able to initiate the repair process and give you the details about the shipping
process.

Hi Arnold! Good evening...

So i am based out of India and i have bought xbox one console. Even i had been through this situation.

So singapore i understand, has a 220-250 V range(same like india). Hence the PSU which would suite you is UK.

What you need to do is, that go to myservice.xbox.com, change it to a british address(hope you have friends in UK) and order for a UK PSU. (either you can buy a new one for 30 Pounds) or send across the old one and get it replaced.

Unfortunately, you would have to bear the entire shipping cost as none of the support would send international shipping.
