    ok so one day when playing my xbox the power went out in my house I tried turning the console back on but it only turns on for literally a split second and turns right off and the power supply brick is just solid green.

    XBOX ONE - NO POWER AT ALL ***PLEASE HELP****

    My Xbox One will not power on at all, I have done all the standard on line checks, I have bought a new power supply which works with my other xbox one in the house.

    If I plug the Power supply into the wall only the light comes on fine, but as soon as its plugged into the xbox one the light on the power supply goes off.

    Can anyone tell me how to fix the issue please?

    Hi there,

    Unfortunately, sudden power loss like that can cause components to fail. Especially if it were a power spike that caused the outage.

    I've had a similar issue in the past with a refrigerator. The only course of action I could take was to claim through the insurance company or buy a new fridge. If you had the console plugged in through a surge protector, many of those have there own guarantee
    against things like this also.

    Sorry that I can't give you better news, but at least it's a starting point.

    Xbox One not staying on

    Do you have a Xbox One with external power supply or an Xbox One S or X with internal power supply?

    I say that because in the first case you can try another power supply (ask to a friend if possible) to see if this fix the problem.

    It sounds like a power supply issue, i have the original Xbox one and i had an issue with the power supply not keeping the console on, i replaced it and it fixed it.

    This can usually be solves by resetting the surge protection in the power supply. Unplug the console and power supply (if you have an original Xbox one) for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. If that does not fix this problem your power supply (internal
    or external) may need repairs.
