Xbox One power pack switching off when it’s connected to the Xbox

Hi all......

So my Xbox One wouldn’t switch on, I followed the troubleshooting advice and it seemed I needed a new power pack, cut to a week later and I have said new power pack.

Now when I plug the power pack in to the wall, and have it connected to the Xbox, nothing happens, there’s no light on the power pack, the xbox wont switch on....

However if the power pack is plugged into the wall, and NOT connected to the Xbox, the little orange light comes on as if its working, and then as soon as I connect it to the console again, it all switches off.....

Anybody encountered this before/have any clue whats up?

It is a new power supply pack.....

It sounds like the power supply pack needs to be replaced. I bought a replacement for mine on Amazon for around $30 USD.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with these problems you're experiencing with the power supply. I can totally see how getting a new supply just for it to not work as expected can be confusing. I suggest following the steps
outlined in our support guide entitled the Xbox One Power Supply Solution.
