Xbox One Power Outage Help Needed

Ok so the power in my neighborhood went out for a small number of hours last night and I went to turn on the console and no response to my touch or voice. My first thought was a blown fuse from my outlet, but everything else works fine out of the same
outlet. I've read numerous posts and several other troubleshooting methods and none of them worked. I'd there something I'm missing or do I have to go through Microsoft's corporate bs and have to send it in? Does anybody have any solid, useful suggestions?
I'm honestly desperate.

Sorry you're having problems with your power supply. No LED as you stated generally means there is an issue with the console or power supply. If it's at all possible to test your console at a friends house I would do that to make sure it's not your
console. That said, if you've tried all the steps and it's not working you very well may need a power supply. If you cannot order online, try a different web browser. If it's still not working then hit up Official Support Chat (not ambassador) and then have
them put the request in for you. I've also listed the link for you to do the exchange of your power supply.

XBox One Power Outage

This sounds as if it is a console failure. The troubleshooting steps to follow are

Is there an led light lit on the power supply unit, should either be white or orange?

 

No light on the power brick or any type of response from the system.

 

Try unplugging it for 2-3 minutes and wee if that helps it.

 

This thing actually happened to a few days ago.. the power didnt go out but the power brick cable going to the wall wasnt well connected. Try disconnecting the power bring and the cable that goes to the wall then connect it all back and see if that works.

 

I had this happen and had to send the power supply in. Unfortunately I sent it and it got there on the 24th - and a new one has yet to be shipped. I had it less than a week.

 

I'll try unplugging it for a few minutes when I get home from work. It's just odd cause the xbox was working just fine before the power outage. Then when I got home and tried to play it later that night it just didn't work. I'll just have to try and see
what happens, if not I'm just gonna take it back and exchange it for a new one.

 

When the power came on, its more than likely there was a surge that potentially damaged the power supply.

I have had this happen to microwaves and pool control electronics myself as well.

It's alright man thank you for providing potential insight as to what happened. I'm probably gonna have to send it in

 

I read somewhere that you have to reset the power supply, you have to unplug the power supply for at least 5 min.

 

The support pages say thirty minutes for disconnecting the power supply, really hope it sorts it for you please let us know either way so we can help where we can.

 

I'll let you guys know how it works out. So far I still haven't had any luck getting it to work again and to make matters worse my copy of CoD Ghosts is still inside the system.

You can eject the disc manually using a paperclip so you can get your Ghosts out.
