so I set my xbox one up to turn on tv and home theater system. Works fine most of the time. Lately though I have had a lot of lag issues and when I power down the xbox one I have to unplug the tv and home theater plug from their ports and plug them back
in after a minute or so. If I don't do that then the xbox won't turn on my components And I shouldn't have to do a full power down on the xbox one every couple of weeks to resolve these lag issues.

    :)

Xbox One turning on my TV?

I am pretty sure that you set it under the tv & one guide settings. Once you set up your devices, you can then control what devices that Xbox will power on. I have it set for my tv, and my cable box. My surround sound will turn on and off automatically
based on the tv status. I have my cable box going to the hdmi in on Xbox, xbox going to hdmi in 1 on my surround, and surround hdmi out to my tv.

No Xbox One audio through Sony Surround receiver only get Sky Tv audio? But i can through the tv.

You would actually want your hd box connected to your xbox one then your xbox one to your surround sound and then the surround sound to the tv. this way, your tv will display the picture but your surround sound will intercept the audio. the surround sound
works as and audio/video in AND out device. Your sky tv wouldn't connect to the xbox at all as far as I know, that would have to be plugged in directly to the sony surround sound and you would change the input on the surround sound rather than the tv.

Here are some cool diagrams to setup your home theater system
