Xbox One Power On and shut off after 20 seconds

Hello ,

I am having this problem .

For me , the problem happens when my xboxone is cold in the first call of the day.

After 20 seconds or when I open something off straightaway .

One thing I noticed when this happens I can not turn on the console using the control I need to physically connect the console.

I tried setting energy standards , and immediate-start it presents no problems , only in economy mode I have this problem and exclusive when the console is cold.

When I start it , it turns off , I try again there can normally play smoothly .

What i have tried:

- Reset my power Supply

- Test on another power source (110V and 220V)

- Test without remove the power supply from the energy source.

- Test removing the power supply from the energy source.

All this situations the problem have occured when i make the first power on. When i do the second try the console works fine.

When the problem happens, i ear a sound like energy was cutted off. All this situations i didnt see any anomaly on the power supply leds.

Held the Xbox power button for 10 seconds to shut it down, after I unplugged the power cord for 20 seconds, plugged it in and started up, everything works good now, no flickering.....yah!

Sorry but your question is a bit confusing, but I'll still try to give you some tips to resolve this issue. First, do not use a 220v power outlet. This should only be plugged into a 110v outlet in your home. Secondly do not plug the Xbox into a power strip.
Only plug the Xbox into the wall itself. Also, follow this knowledge base article with troubleshooting the Xbox turning off by itself.

Got a similar problem that has just happened today where the power just went as I was watching something on the Netflix app - first I thought it was the fuse but that has been changed now. I've now tried the power supply reset but the odd thing is that although
the orange standby light stays on while plugged into the wall socket as soon as I actually plug it into the xbox one it suddenly goes off - it makes no sense to a layman like me - anyone help ?!! Sorry to tag on to the creator of this thread but we seemed
to have similar problems

My console is made in Brazil, so it can use both voltages.

I was talking with my local suport today at morning, and they ask me to make a offline restore in my console.

At Night today i will do that. I will post here the result to help another customer with the same issue.

I didn't know about the voltage difference in that country but good to know now. Just let us know about the results after you do a restore.

 

Hello everyone,

I made the factory restore how my local suport have sugested for me.

It didn't resolved the problem, in the true nothing i could do resolved this.

I have tried to use a Ethernet cable too, but the problem realy is the console.

I think some component, like transitor or resistor have serious problems with low temperatures. In the summer (when i have bought the Xbox One) i didn't have any problems. Now in the fall, with 18º Celsius of ambient temperature the problem starts.

I'm sending my console tomorrow to repair/change. I Hope to receve it early!
