Xbox One power on and off problems

My xbox one will turn itself off and on randomly without anyone doing it , Ive unpluged it and left it like that for an hour and it still does it , if i do turn it on it turns itself off , any help ?

Hi! My Xbox One is turned off every time I put it on and it says that ventilation problems, do not block any ventilation oppenings on the console or the power source, do not place the console or power supply on a bed, sofa.

I would recommend doing a clean boot of your Xbox one. Power on, Hold in Xbox button for 8-10 seconds to power off, wait 30 seconds, power back on and try again. When you boot this way you should see the green logo screen. Try your apps again and report
back if you still have problems!

Just to double check:

Are you using your console in the Instant-On power mode?

Have you enabled your console to auto power off after a period of inactivity?

One thing I would recommend trying:

Turn off your console completely by holding down the power button for ~5-10 seconds

Unplug your power supply from the wall and console.

Leave everything unplugged for about 5 minutes.

Plug everything back in and turn your console back on

Hey thank you marvel fan im guessing ?

I left it unlugged while i was out so ill se how it goes today

 

Right it started doing it again , so should i turn instant on off and my console turns off after 6 hours of inactivity ?

Try turning off instant on-mode and see how that goes. I don't think messing with the setting to shut the console down after 6 hours of inactivity will help here but hey, it's worth a shot. If that doesn't work, try running through the steps in the troubleshooting
articles in my previous post. You may need to end up contacting support to determine if the power supply or console need to be serviced.
