  1. Xbox one power on and disc eject issues

    Hi there,

I bought a used xbox one and have had issues with powering on and sometimes discs will not eject. It will not start up at all if anything is plugged into a usb socket i.e. an external hard drive or even a wired controller. It will beep when power button
is pressed but that is all. I can only power console on without anything plugged in then put external hard drive after bootup. It can also hang during splash screen if I attach hdd so have to wait for full boot. It's a bit annoying having to unplug and replug
everytime I switch on or restart the console. Also discs won't eject after a while in the drive. Only way to eject is to power off console fully and power back on (after unplugging external hdd) and eject on splash screen. Other than these two issues the console
is fine. Has this happened to anyone else?

    :)

Xbox One Power Outage Help Needed

Hey Trooper6669- Any more luck on your power supply?

You can eject the disc manually using a paperclip so you can get your Ghosts out.

    disc wont eject

    Hi H1TMAN HART,

Sorry you're having issues getting a disc out of your Xbox. Please see the link below and try to manually eject it, if it's not popping out with the eject button. Let us know if this works for you.

Xbox one power on and disc eject issues

    Hey there,

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your console, could you tell me if you bought the console from a trusted business or if you have bought it from someone pre-owned? I would also perform a full

    Console Power Cycle
and ensure the console is on a flat surface placed horizontally. On boot up do you receive any error codes and in terms of a HDD, ensure that it is formatted to the Xbox by going into the Device Settings on the Xbox
    console.

If you are still having issues be sure to come back.

    Regards

  5. Hi, thanks for reply.

I bought it pre-owned from a store. I think it possibly could be the internal drive. The other weird thing is sometimes it won't even boot with a disc in the drive. Just earlier I had been playing fifa from disc, gone back to the home menu, ejected the
disc normally and placed in Halo MCC. It was as if the console did not recognize the new disc, so I restarted the console and it hung on splash screen. No errors, just the xbox logo like an infinite loop. I ejected the disc while it was "hanging" and it booted
normally. I put Halo MCC in after boot and game runs. External drive had been formatted with xbox, most games are stored on external hard drive. It's like the dvd/bluray drive and external usb attachments interrupt the bootup of the internal hard drive. I
haven't had any issues with the hdd reading/writing. Never had any errors or corrupt files. Hdd works normally with usb attachments after boot.

Sometimes a disc won't eject and/or fails to recognize newly inserted disc. Only solution is to reset and eject disk on startup.

What you are describing seems to be more of a hardware error and something we cannot really understand over the Public forums. It would seem the store has sold you a faulty product, whether they have not tested it for faults when purchasing it from the previous
owner or they mislead you during purchase. Have you got proof of purchase? I would recommend getting a full refund for the console and putting it towards either a new console or one you know is in working condition. Additionally if you purchased it through
PayPal, you can talk to them about a refund for the business not disclosing the errors. However if this does not work, you can send off the console for service by clicking

    Here
, this does come with a charge.

disc randomly became unreadable with error code 0x80004003

I fixed the issue btw. Here is what i did:

    • Eject the broken disc.

    • Put a disc that works in the Xbox and install its content.

    • Once it finishes installing Restart or Power Cycle the Xbox.

    • Eject the disc you have in the Xbox and put in the broken one again.
