Xbox One Power Light Flashing While Running

    Xbox One Power Light Flashing While Running


    So just over the past 3 days I have noticed some very strange behavior from my Xbox One.

    My console is on and running and my controller is connected then all of a sudden the power button will start flashing and the console will make a noise every few seconds that sounds like hitting a woodblock in music class. After about 30-60 seconds the power
    light goes solid and everything is back to normal. While this is happening I could be at the menu or in a game but it doesn't seem to effect the console or gameplay itself.

    Console and power supply are ventilated, internet is through a wired connection. I have an external drive and I've found this happens with or without it connected. Tried a hard reboot, unplugging power for a while, it still comes back.

    Any advise or insight would be greatly appreciated!

    2. How long has it been having the issue you're describing?
    3. When did you replace the power supply? Before or after the issue started?
    4. When the console is on and running, does it behave normally (aside from the 480p resolution)?
    5. The console turns itself on and off even when no one is touching it or any controllers?
    6. How many lights are flashing on your console?
    7. Which lights are flashing on your console?
    8. What color are the lights that are flashing on your console?
    9. What color is the light on your power supply?

    Also, here's four different guides on flashing lights. Since I'm not sure what console you have and what lights are flashing, I'm going to link them all. Let us know if any of these apply to your situation:

    The white lights on the XBOX and the power supply come on for a few seconds, then go out.

    Subsequently, the power light stays on and amber.

    During

    the block reset test

    I get to step # 3 where it is mentioned to change the power unit.

    The light flashes: white for about five seconds, orange for one second.
