    Xbox One: Power Cycle - is it safe to keep doing?


    Instead of going into the Xbox One settings to fully shut down the Xbox, can I just always hold the power button for 10 seconds to power it off? A Microsoft article explains how to power cycle the Xbox One this way, but I'm not sure if it's safe to keep
    doing.

    I have it set to Instant On, so the quick power menu puts it to sleep, then unplugging the Xbox would improperly shut it off, which is what I'm trying to avoid. :p

    I don't see why it would cause any problems but why wouldn't you just turn it off normally by just pressing the button quickly?
