XBOX ONE POWER CORD

Your probably going to need the adaptor otherwise you could ruin the powerbrick.

As in the US is 100-127V while EU is 200-240V. Both are 12A * 17.9V = 215W.

Might be a whole new power supply unit rather than just a lead change.

I also stumbled upon that one but it wasn't much of a help. The socket appears to be the similar kind of "D-shaped socket" than in the picture I linked but with just 2 pins. I wonder if such cables are somewhat of a standard outside the Xbox One?

Well, I know the power brick itself would be compatible, just need a cable that goes into my wall outlet. An adapter wouldn't cost much more than a few euros and would very easily do the trick, but as said I'm a bit sceptic on long term use of such with
expensive electronics.

Nor would I really want to get into the nightmare that would be dealing with warranty with german MS reps.

I even have a "local" Xbox One preordered, but we don't have a release date yet.. it will be end of february and early march when the first really interesting games for me come to Xbox One (there's a few current titles, but Im not in a hurry to buy the console
for them), so unless we start hearing a release date for Finland by halfway through february, I guess I'm just gonna import one and sell the extra one. There was a rumor of it possibly delaying till august, but there was nothing really trustworthy about that
rumor.
