XBOX ONE POWER BRICK NOT TURNING OFF (SET TO POWER SAVING MODE)

My xbox one is set to POWER SAVING MODE, not instant on mode. I repeat...it is set to power saving mode, not instant on. When I try to turn my xbox off normally, the power brick will not turn off. If I turn the xbox on again, it starts up immediately like
its in instant on mode. The brick stays on. I left it alone when I went to bed to see if it would be off by morning, and it was not. For some reason its thinking its in instant on mode or something. Does anyone know why it is doing that? It only started recently.

Flashing Power Button

When I turn off my Xbox the power light flashes for about 15 min, and then turns off in power saving mode (power brick light is orange) even though I have it set to instant on. Any idea why this is happening? It is very annoying,

Can the Xbox One install while off?

yes, as long as you don't have it on power saving mode, IF your power brick is OFF when you shut down, then its on power saving mode, regular stand-by an the console shuts off but the power brick stays on, << you are down loading <<

Hey there xhashx -

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. Since your console is currently in energy-saving mode, go ahead and

switch it to instant-on mode. Once you've done that, go ahead and
power cycle your console. Then go ahead and swap it back to energy-saving mode and power cycle once more. Hopefully this helps toggle your console into the correct mode.

If your console is set to power save mode when the console is switched off the light on the power brick should be orange.

If you are unable to switch your console on please follow the troubleshooting guide below reference this.

If you wait, does it eventually change colors? Also, when you power your Xbox One, does it power on instantly or does it power on like it did previously with power saving mode?

hi I'm having same problem I hard started ,waited and checked if it was still in energy savings mode . I don't know what to do please help

If your cable/sat box is on passthru just say Xbox on, then say Xbox watch TV. Pretty awesone IMO. Such a fast boot.

If you have your system set to power mode instant on that means the Xbox will never be powered off when you tell it to. It will either be on sleep mode or on. Your Xbox may look powered off because the Xbox symbol on the system and kinect is off but its
not. Its on sleep mode.

Only way to completely power it off is setting the mode to Power mode energy saving.
