    just like the subject says. Before when i turned off the xbox..either by voice command or controller....The Power Brick Adapter always turned off too. And the little light on it turned yellow or orange. Now when i goto turn off the system...The light on
    the power adapter stays white. And you can for sure tell its on from how loud it is. i almost thought the xbox was on....Then my lazer Printer...But nope..its the power brick. Other people HAVE to be having this same issue....i dont see how can be isolated
    to me since it started happening RIGHT after the latest update.

    Xbox one's power brick stays on in power saving mode

    Hi.

    After lastest software update, when I turn off my xbox its power brick is always on (the light is white). My console is in "power saving mode", but it looks like it is in "instant on" mode. I don't know if this is an issue with lastest update or with my
    xbox. Any advice??

    Hello,

    it is perfectly fine for the light of the adapter to stay white for a few minutes after the console is turned off. The white light means is in stand by mode, is a lower consumption mode where it can download updates and patches, also it turns on faster.
    The orange light is in the lowest power consumption mode, is basically fully off.

    You Need To Check Your Power Setting In The Menu,And Make Sure You Have It Set To Power Conserve Mode.

    Having the same problems. It's tolerable in the day but when I'm trying to sleep it might as well be a jumbo jet...

    Check in the power/start up menu and make sure your console is set to energy saver and not instant on. If your console is set to instant on it will automaticly download a update if found.

    I put into power saver mode right now..and it fixes the power brick supply "not turning off" issue...BUT I never had it set to that before...and i have never had this issue...Now that it's in power saver mode..I can't turn on the Xbox with my voice when
    its off....

    This is a real issue after the latest update/patch that needs to be addressed.

    Xbox One Power Brick is NOT turning off after last update.

    At the risk of sounding lazy, I don't want to turn it to energy saver mode because I enjoy walking in the room and saying Xbox On and it firing up instantly. I also love that it automatically downloads updates. A real bummer that I have to turn it to that
    setting.

    Hi there jmroszczack and MDub13 you can put your consoles back to instant on, if the power brick continues to make noise i would suggest unplugging it for 5-10 seconds and see if that helps, if not set up a repair with customer support @ 1-800-4my-xbox

    why should i have to send yet another peice of hardware for repair? for the first 2 months my power brick turned off with no issues When set to instant on. Then that big update came and now it wont turn off....Others must be experiencing this also...I dont
    want to be with out my xbox for like 2-5 weeks. that is unacceptable!

    Xbox One Controller & Stereo Headset Adapter Update

    Hi Darq,

    I got home last night and this time there were two tiles - one introducing me to the New Xbox One, which I guess serves as a good review and the other that new enhancements were there now. This wasn't there originally, even though I had checked in the morning
    and the version number indicated I was updated.

    What I did was to do a hard power off on the Xbox, then disconnected the power brick from the Xbox and the wall. You have to do both, because if you only unplug the brick and reconnect, it's likely your Xbox One will power on at all. sort of strange, but
    I've had this happen twice so far and ended up unplugging the cable from the power brick to the Xbox One and also unplugging the power brick from the wall socket. Then I plugged it in, first the brick to the Xbox One and then the brick to the electricity.

    The reason I did all this was to be sure that it started from a clean start, hopefully flushing out the cache after that update which I was told was around 400 MB. Then I updated my controller and that appeared to work fine too.

    Try the Hard Power Off and see if that resolves your problem.
