Xbox one power brick and cord/thrid party

Hi guy so i just brought an xbox one console only now i need to buy a controller power brick cord i already got a hdmi is there anything else i need to buy beside what i said of cousre a game. So my question is what do you guys think about those thrid party unbanned/aftermarket
xbox one power brick from ebay and amazon are they good as the orignal xbox one verison has anybody brought one how are they is it worth the price or should i just saved just a little bit more get the xbox one power brick. Should i go ahead buy one what is
the pro and con when having one they sold about 1,998 one ebay so im guess it must be good since it sold that many so do you guys have one and what is your experience with one how long did you had yours and how long did it last how is the nosie on it quite
or loud are they any long time side effects on using one if i buy one. I think that is all i can think about for now so if missed anything else just tell me.

Your best bet is to call XBOX support in your region and see about ordering a replacement brick and power cord.



Power bricks are region-specific. The AC cord going to the power brick is also region-specific (different outlets require different connectors).

A PC power cord should work as an AC cord replacement. I've used one before on the more modern supplies that do not have a center notch in the power receptical (non-203w power supplies.



The whole power brick can be ordered from Microsoft on myservice.xbox.com. Start a repair and one of the options is to buy a replacement power brick. They're about $30.

 

Get the official Xbox One power brick.

I've heard some horror stories about the 3rd party ones.

Buy one at your own risk.

 

Not just that but if something did go wrong you would void any warranty you have.

Never use a 3rd party power brick with your console.

 

I'm not big on knockoffs. Original is safer and more reliable.

Microsoft DOES NOT license its power supplies or power cables to third parties. These third party supplies have not passed safety checks and are a potential fire hazard, they may even cause electrocution.


So, err, the pro is you 'might' get working power supply. The con is you'll either burn down your house or be killed plugging it in!

I'm fine with buying most other third party things (unless they are definitely bootlegged goods). But I myself, would
NEVER, EVER, buy a third party power supply. My property and my life is far more precious to me.

 

thanks guys this why i wanted to ask people who already own a xbox one would it be a good idea. So what do you think about those other people that had brought the 3rd party power brick. Also i think i should of ask this question before i brought an xbox

Why did you pay for an Xbox One with out a power source? How much does one pay for a non working console? The whole thing sounds fishy to me.

I agree. Buying a matched set is how it should be done. Getting everything separate means if there's a problem with one part, the seller can easily blame the other part(s) as the
problem... even if they're manufacturer approved. I wouldn't do it and I definitely would never go with 3rd party when it comes to something as crucial as a power supply, unless and only unless it's been approved by the manufacturer of the product it's used
with.

 

Well it was one of those small/medium electronics/pawn shop store they had tested it out when they had the cords and they said it works fine it was 269.99 if they would of had evevrthing but they cut the price down to 200 it was the only xbox one that they
left i do get a 90 day warranty if any happen to it. Yea im sorry i should of ask this question before i brought it i was just to excited that i was going to get a next gen i wasnt thinking straight i learn from my mistake again guys sorry. Hope when i do
get everthing it will work so im going to keep this updated.

 

Getting a console missing a component isn't as odd as you think. I remember picking up a 360 from Walmart years ago missing a headset and the game that was supposed to come for $150.00 (They were $399 at the time.). There was a customer that came in claiming
the one they just purchased was missing the items. Manager opened a new box and gave them headset and game. I approached the manager and asked about purchasing the vampire d 360 and offered $100; he countered with $150 and I took the offer.

Was at a Staples awhile back and encountered the same thing with a printer. Customer said it was missing the power supply; manager opened a new box and gave it to them. I offered half for the printer, she agreed. I e-mailed HP about a power supply and they
sent me one for free.

Sometimes being in the right place at the right time pays off. Wish I could find more deals like that.

They said if they get anymore xbox one in stock then they will called me tell me that they have more in stock i can switch out my xbox one for one that has everthing together and pay the diffince and i get 15% off on the xbox one. Or if they get any xbox
one accessories like a controller power brick hdmi even games i will get 20% off on that so i do get many options so yea i think it not as bad as i thought it would be.

 

You can buy a pre owned one at Gamestop online for $70.00.
