Xbox One power block takes a while to go off after shut down and won't do Live sometimes.

I have an Xbox One and recently my house's power went out while I was playing. Now when I shut it down through the home button thing it turns the console off but the power block stays white for about 5 to 7 minutes then turns orange. Then sometimes when
I turn it on it says in the home menu that I'm not connected to Live when I have 2 or 3 bars for the wifi. Does anyone know what is the matter with it or is the circuit board screwed up?

Xbox One will shut down while playing games only.

Xbox One will shut down while playing games only. I can unplug the power supply and plug it back in, and Xbox will work again. But after about 20 minutes of playing a game again it will shut off. Any suggestion of what to do.

Netflix crashes One

Netflix is crashing my One. Sometimes it's after watching for a while and sometimes it's a few seconds after starting a video. The images freezes but the audio continues for a moment before distortion sets in then cuts off entirely. The screen goes black
then the Xbox shuts down. Even the power pack turns off. This has happened multiple times now.

most likely your xbox is in instant boot and has some damaged cache files. that's why it takes a little longer to shut down the psu. try restoring it to factory defaults keeping games and apps

also for your xbox not connecting to live, it is most likely an unrelated issue. something with the connection maybe. If it is connected to wifi but not connected to live try this Xbox One Network Connection Help | Troubleshoot Xbox Live Connection

also, if your console was fried it would not turn on.

On taking a closer look, I think the system may need the power supply to be active to maintain the "Instant On" functionality. If you go to power options and for power mode turn off "Instant On" then the power brick does indeed shut down after powering the
system off. Though you won't be able to turn the Xbox on by merely speaking those words after you do this.

This does happen from time to time. Sometimes you need to do a full power cycle to get things going. While the console is on, hold the power button down for 5+ seconds until it shuts off to force a full power cycle. If you still have issues updating check

mine was acting a bit "funny" on me after I shut it down during a very LONG download of RYSE, so tonight I will just unplug it see if that will shut down the power block, that's the only noise I ever hear on this system the faint fan on the power block.
what I meant by "funny" is before the download shut down it would be dead quite after it shut off, since the DLC the fan has stayed on.

Everything on the console works if you hard reset. If you shut it down you can hear disk drive spinning a couple of times when its off

So when you do a hard reset, you can still hear the disc spinning after it's powered off? Or do you mean you can hear it spinning as it's powering off, and then it goes silent as it should? When I do a hard reset power off, I sometimes hear a noise like
that as it's powering down, but then once the while Xbox power light goes off, it falls silent.
