    XBOX One Power adaptor has overheated and burnt out


    Hi,

    My XBOX One Power adaptor has overheated and burnt out. When I contacted chat support, they asked me to reach out to a toll free number : 0008004401179. Whenever I call on this number, I get a message that the support is currently closed and suggests me
    to contact the chat support.

    Is there any way that I can get SUPPORT from Microsoft ?

    Xbox One from US to Spain

    I bought an Xbox One back in the US and when I moved to Spain I plugged it in and the power supply just burnt off. My question is, do I have to buy a new power supply with the US voltage and an adaptor to the spanish voltage or will it work if I just buy
    the power supply with the spanish voltage?

    Sorry to hear about your problem.



    But, how old is your console? The power brick might be covered by the warranty.



    Contact Xbox Support (Xbox One Support | Xbox 360 Support | Xbox Live and Billing Support) to see if it is.



    And it it isn't the power supply, and the console is under warranty, you can send it in to have it serviced.

    The Xbox One X along with the Xbox One S has a built in power supply that is multi-voltage. It will work in all regions, no need for any power adaptors. All you need is an adaptor for the plug.

    Dashboard often wont load up after signing in.

    The only workaround I could find is connecting an ethernet switch between the adaptor and the xbox which stops it going into power saving mode but I had to stop using that because it seems to knock about 20megs off the speed.

    My ISP doesn't supply powerline adaptors so I would have to pay for a new one out of my own pocket. It would be annoying buying a new one only to get the same problem with that.

    It is only the xbox that has problems with the power saving mode on the adaptor. All other devices that use an adaptor work fine
