    I have had my Xbox One for three months now and I am a bit curious, can it only stand vertically or can it also be stood up horizontally like the Xbox 360?

    It can be placed either way, however it is advised that the console be placed so that the disc tray is horizontal with the ground.

    U hmmm according to the instructions and the support website, It should only be placed flat with space to vent and not be enclosed.

    If strongly suggest going by the manual. If you threw it away go here:

    Just Make sure it will be in a properly ventilated place, also that it's positioned horizontally.

    No mate I wouldn't do that, it would be bad for both consoles, it doesn't require masses of space just good air circulation, also the power brick needs breathing space good luck and enjoy.
