Xbox One Playing Xbox Classics?

I'm just wondering, Will Xbox One ever offer Classic Xbox game titles? example: To be able to buy crash bandicoot/simpsons hit and run etc from the store on the console? I've been trying to do some research but can't seem to find anything unfortunately

How to play Xbox 360 and other consoles through xbox one!

This is a tutorial how to play your xbox 360 and other consoles through xbox one.

1. Plug your HDMI cable into your 360 and the xbox one HDMI in(Were you plug your TV cable in).

2. Turn your 360 on, Click the TV app on the xbox one and your xbox 360 should start up.

3. Now have fun you can now play your 360 through your xbox one, you can also use the snap feature with it.

This also works with anything HDMI Compatible

 

Some sort of store where you can buy/rent digital copies of older games has been talked about bit nothing concrete yet

 

There's been some speculation going off of this tweet
twitter.com/.../498242327346151424 (use of the original xbox logo) that something like this will get announced at Gamescom, but who knows..

 

Ohh I didnt see this before the other thread in the other section. My bad though like the above say, unless its officially announed, take it as speculation.

 

if it does come, I sincerely hope its not priced like ps now.........

 

Reason given for no backward compatibility to 360 was the difference in architecture. As original xbox was basically a cut down PC and the xbone is based on that line of chips it should be a much easier task to port stuff across.

Not sure how many games I'd re-buy though unless they at least do an HD make over. (my original xbox still works, I'd just need to plug it in!)

 

I still have my 360 so unless they were really improving the game, i'd just use that.

 

I posted this on your other thread but due to licences etc. this would not be possible it is more likely and promising if Microsoft made a Xbox Handheld.

The Xbox Handheld could have the power of the 360, run 60fps 720p or 1080p and just be a hardcore gaming machine with the xbox one type interface.

The Xbox handheld would be easy to develop for as it would have the same develop process as the 360, achievements etc. would all be there but now remote play would be possible off the Xbox One.

That is more likely but still would never happen.
