    Xbox one playing with xbox 360 games


    Whenever I try to play games like Borderlands 2 or Saints Row Third it shows that they are trying to receive my Xbox 360 information but when it's done there is only one account on it and It's not mine. How do I get my account on it, it shows I can download
    my account on it but when I click on it, it just says I can't and It says there's something wrong with my internet.

    Hey there NauseousMoney06.

    If your friends are playing Backward Compatible Xbox 360 games on their Xbox One, you would be able to play with them, but Xbox One games do not connect with Xbox 360 games.

    If someone is playing MP on Xbox One they can't play MP with people on Xbox 360.

    And the Xbox One can't play Xbox 360 games.

    You can pull up the 360 guide in a game by pushing the View and Menu (Select and Start) at the same time. This may offer you the options you need.

    In theory you can connect a Xbox One S, Xbox One X and Xbox 360 consoles locally. However, the game you intend to play has to support local link play.

    However, for Xbox One games, I know of no game that supports local link play.

    On the Xbox 360, there are several games that allow local network play, and if the Xbox 360 game is backwards compatible, you can also play that Xbox 360 version of the game on your Xbox One.

    However, be aware that you can NOT play the Xbox One version of a game with the Xbox 360 Version of the game. So for example, you can NOT play FIFA 14 on the Xbox One together with a person playing FIFA 14 on the Xbox 360.

    You can however play Halo 3 as a backwards compatible Xbox 360 title on the Xbox One together with someone on a Xbox 360.

    An Xbox 360 game will always be an Xbox 360 game whether it is played on the Xbox 360 or an Xbox One through backward compatibility, same with original Xbox games. They were developed to play on one console. It's only through the magic of back compat they
    play on the One. They are still Xbox 360 and original Xbox games to me.

    Even though you can play Xbox 360 games on Xbox One this is and always be a no go. You can play a 360 game on Xbox one provided it is compatible with someone on 360 but you have never been able to play a Xbox One version of a game with someone who is playing
    a 360 version of the same game.
