I would say its the battery I got a play and charge kit wasn't happy with it got an orb dual charger no problems at all.

Hi Everyone

I'm having a major problem with my Xbox One play and charge kit, the problem is the battery will not charge and the light on the charge cable stays white all the time even when my console is off, it's telling me the battery is charged when it defiantly is not
because as soon as try to play with the cable unplugged my console flashes up with low battery power and when I go to my home page to check sure enough the battery has no power. now I'm wondering is this a issue with my controller (which plays fine with the
cable plugged in) or my cable (why does it stay lit white when the battery isn't charged) or is it my battery (has it worn out already even though I've charged it up maybe 40 to 50 times maybe less then that) so does anyone have any idea's as to what the issue
maybe?

 

are you plugging it in the left side of the Xbox One?

are you using rechargeable batteries that game with the Play n Charge?

if none of these work for you try and return it and get a new one.

 

I have something similar I guess. I have my Xbox One Day One controller plugged in with the OEM USB charging cable. Every few minutes, the message will appear on my TV stating that the controller needs to be plugged in. Weird part about it is that it
is plugged in. I noticed that the micro USB port on the back of the controller goes from Orange LED to nothing. Does this mean the connectors are bad?

 

I have just had the same problem with charging day one controller and found that the mini USB connector on the underneath has become disconnected from the battery board inside, I opened up unit and the quality of the soldering and design is not good, I am
going to return mine to game and see if I can get a third party battery pack as far better design.

 

I was updating my controller and my USB fell out and now my controller won't turn on at all

 

try updating again followed by power reset

 

Is anyone else suffering the following problem?

when the official xbox one rechargeable battery loses power mid game and you plug in the official xbox one charge and play cable the controller loses all functionality?

This has been going on for some time now, and I had hoped it would be fixed.
