I have had mine less than one year and it shows not lasting, how long has people's Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit lasted?

All rechargeable batteries have realistically a 6 month life span with reduced performance after a month or so. If I get a day or so out of mine I'm happy. I use a third party energizer docking station for my 2 controllers now as I hate having the chord
connected to charge a controller.

 

Why was this moved to the One forum when the OP is referring to the 360 version?

 

I've had the same two batteries for around 3 years before the charge was lost...

seemed like a decent lifespan to me.

What batteries are you using? ( this is NOT the One area AFAIK)

 

Battery Lifespan on a product sold, does seem like a resonable question for support... JMHO.

 

My nyko cord for the charge n play broke after like 8 months.

 

I have to say that the battery from the 360 play and charge was hopeless, mine didn't even last 2 months. The cable has come in handy though!

I don't know why it took me so long to do this, but I grabbed some normal rechargeable batteries for my 360 and they've been going for about a year now or longer and I've never looked back.

I was using them for the Xbox One at first, but against my better judgement I got the play and charge for the X1 and I must say it's as good as the batteries I bought and even notifies me when they're about to die. Really cool feature.

 

My play and charge kit is working and lasting fine on the Xbox One. And for the 360 I used the play and charge kit briefly, and i did not like the cords. So I switched to the quick charge kit. I found that to be far more satisfactory than the play and
charge.

 

had my play & charge kit on the 360 for 7 years & the battery is starting to show signs of giving up the ghost.

That's with the console being used everyday

 

MY Apology, I thought this was about the 360, Not the ONE.

Anyway it seems like some users get 3 to 7 years of use... Others get a few days......

User error or confusion maybe an issue.

 

BTW, NYKO is a thrid party company....... Just sayn.

 

My p&c for xbox one controller has just about bit the dust after 1 year. It lasts a few hours then reports low battery. Charging it seems to also go from amber to white very quickly. Prior to this happening, it lasted one to two weeks on a single charge.

Going to drain it out before recharging to see how that goes.
