Xbox One Physical Games Issue

I have tried all the suggestions I have read on the forums and on youtube.

Check disc for damage

Clear local xbox 360 storage

Clear persistent storage

Power cycle

Factory reset

Clear mac address

Unplug everything and let it set

Redownload blu ray app

Set console to energy saving

Set console to instant on

I haven't had any xbox 360 games to work in over a month. Xbox one games will work for awhile. Then about a week later they won't. Then they will work again. The console will take the disc and make the noise letting you know the game is getting ready to launch. But nothing happens. Not even an error message. I just played fallout 4 a couple of days ago (pre owned from gamestop) before that I played red dead redemption 2 for an entire week (brand new from walmart). The disc drive works.

Does anyone have any ideas besides the ones listed above or requesting a repair? Thanks

We recommend trying the discs in another console if possible to determine if it's a hardware issue. We also recommend going over the steps mentioned here in case you missed some => Troubleshoot problems playing a disc | Xbox Support

If none of the troubleshooting steps was helpful, and the discs work perfectly fine in another console it means that it's a hardware issue in which case repairing the console is your last solution. If the console is the Original Xbox One, then unfortunately it's out of warranty and you will need to repair it at a third party electronic shop.

The xbox support has pinpointed the issue correctly. To get xbox 360 games part of bc for xbox one your physical location should match your account region.

You need to insert the disc in order to play the game even though it's installed.

It's like this with every game you have on disc.

It's because your console has to read the disc to verify you have the license & own the game.

If you didn't have to insert the disc every time then there'd be nothing stopping one person buying a game,installing it & then giving the disc to a friend,they install it etc etc.

TO clarify, what region are you physically located in and are you setting your Xbox One to your physical location? Cross-region accounts aren't supported and may cause issues such as the one you're describing.

I own around 180 on Xbox (physical), 450 on 360 (physical and digital), 12 physical Xbox One games, and the other 150 or so, digitally.

Hard to keep a legitimate number, excluding the X1 Games with Gold titles. Really nice to see that the 360 ones, are
yours to keep permanently.
